Clean them after you use them , rub any metals parts with a clean rag and a spray of oil and put them away if the cabinet is in the house you won’t have a problem, problems crop up when guns are put away dirty , damp or plain wet !

Both do the job ! Whatever you feel comfortable with I’ve a hw100 .177 which I use on rabbits very easy to go for head shots so that will take down a rabbit but I know plenty of people who shoot a .22 doing the same job

Thanks for that , kind words etc let me tell you why , they are going to access this through our small cul de sac which in turn will turn it in to a thoroughfare that anyone can walk through , so turning a safe area where our kids can play safely into a short cut to town every Tom **** and Harry can use , plus people realising if they park near here it’s a short walk to shop , parking is a premium now so tearing down our boundary we lose two parking spaces ! Plus if they do use the roof windows we and our neighbours are overlooked ,shall I mention because it’s oversize it cuts out light into our garden , shall I go on or do you get the picture I’m sorry I’m being a selfish ***** !

Hi all , long story short , after many years of it being turned down a developer has got permission to build a tiny bedsit bungalow in what was a car park to the rear of us now it’s half up and according to the plans they have put doors in the wrong place , opening roof windows x4 open plan roof trusses , looks like they may put in an attic style bedroom but after complaining to planning office all this has been let slide !!! We have now discovered it’s just over half a meter too tall , told planning who told enforcement who told developer and that was last we heard ! They even said in emails it’s a breech , but now we get an email saying it’s been remeasured using an agreed ground level and suddenly it’s ok and passed ! How ? There is nowhere they could measure it on site to get to that level , half a meter , waiting to hear back from planning to see where this piece of ground is but so far nothing anyone can they do this , how far from a building can they measure , I’d have thought you had to measure beside the building as surely with damp course etc that’s the height from the ground ? Any help lads would be appreciated.

I’ve used them , they are ok , well worth the twenty pound , comfortable and they do protect against loud noise well

I had one and while it’s a good daily driver if you’re going off road go with all terrain tyres and for most stuff you’re fine , if it’s proper off road they will struggle , but then that wasn’t it’s market it was aimed at , if you find one make sure everything works , electrics etc , and if it has hill descent test that out they were very prone to that packing up , broken wire ! . Diesel engines were pretty bomb proof as long as oil was changed regularly

Lock is normally on a timer after you switch of machine , or let it run it’s cycle mines been washed at least twice and still works !

Marsh man hi how are you keeping well and safe I hope , you know I think we may be in a minority here but I’m the same as you , it would break my heart to see a load of pigeons just thrown in a ditch at the end of the day !!! I’m lucky that all of what I’ve shot for a good number of years ends up on the table , be it mine , family or friends , never really gone for big bags so never really gone the dealer route I’ve let a few go to a mate to freeze then go to dealer if numbers are high , if I’ve been lucky !

If you have to be near them get a repellant with a high percentage of deet , military surplus stuff is good if you can find it

Don’t know how far you want to travel but the six mile bottom shoot is great as is the quidenham shoot which is near thetford , both a great day out , plenty shooting and plenty of food and drink but I guess that may be off the menu at present TIL we get the all clear !

I’ve found it’s just not worth bothering with cheap pellets ! False economy ,

I don’t think this corvid pandemic is going to be big enough to make any major changes , it should be a wake up call for the world to pull together but no it’s individual countries doing what they can ! If there is going to be a major upset for me it’s the way the population worldwide is growing at an alarming rate year on year , immigrants and refugees wandering to different countries and demanding to be looked after , this to me will lead to economic collapse only take one country to go , panic sets in , run on the banks for everyone to withdraw money next country goes down and so it goes on !!!
