  1. A 1METRE long box of jaffa cakes!
  2. not too shallow, just dont skimp on the felt mate, you can use sarking boards if you like, but it isn't necessary.
  3. still trying to sell my motocross, when that's gone i'll give you a buzz..
  4. or maybe astro turf? might be worth a try..
  5. starting to feel very peckish...
  6. had a coaching lesson last week with a chap called bill ridley, got on really well, 150 clays over about 2.5 hrs cost me £40. he's the gunsmith at nelsons if anyone's interested.. His shoot is based in postwick..
  7. just to stir things up, the next semi i bought was an anschutz, brilliant gun, never jammed once... :look:

    CD WOW

sorry, all i can see is two great racks! what was the thread?
  9. 20x42, is that the sniper model? the one i saw was a fixed 10x mag, 30mm tube & BDC turrets. I might try one, good luck with yours tho :look:
  10. dont get me wrong, when it works its great, but the us marines have gone over to the M4 which is gas operated, its a risk you take with them i guess, some work fine, others dont. just re read this thread and babbyc had a montefeltro.[ knew it began with M] Also, if the armed forces are using them then you can bet they're using something a whole lot heavier than a pigeon load.
  11. i agree to your point in general, but a rimfire doesn't give any recoil so there's not much chance that it'll fall to bits. whereas on a centrefire the build quality of the scope makes all the difference. by the way, what's your opinion of opti mate? I was looking at one on flea bay last week, checked them out and they seem quite good, the rfd i spoke to really rates them, they're not cheap, but not as pricey as docter or s&b.
  12. sorry, didn't mean your rifle is ****, just that the optics you are considering are worth twice the value of the gun, Personally i'd preffer the docter [but i wouldn't put it on my 22lr]
  13. didn't docter take over an old carl zeiss factory? that's basically what you're buying.
  14. How about a "better" rifle to go with your better scope?lol
  15. you'll only look like a ***** if its brand new, full of scrap, and has NO tax!
  16. No, sorry he had an M2[ or was it an M1] just had similar problems thats all, i know there's a lot of people on here that swear by them, but the quality isn't up to scratch. I think they're seriously over priced..
  17. yep! i remember when i first applied for my FAC, paddy came over to survey my fathers bit of land, he took all of a minute to say ok, then spent the rest of the time looking round my fathers tractor collection. gotta be the most helpful chap i know.
  18. As its a new gun you probably wont have many problems with it, i had one and found it unreliable but it was bought 2nd hand. dont clean the barrel out and you'll notice it gets more accurate after a few hundred shots, you may notice deposits building up around the action but just swab these out every now and then and the gun should be fine. Unlike copper jackets the 22 lr is a lead slug and the barrels dont need cleaning out, the most i do with mine is pull a patch thru just to oil the inside every now and then to protect against damp.
  19. well maybe, who knows what's in store for us?
  20. i know the origins of the meat in both can be suspect, but at least with the curry you can tell that it is just meat and not minced up roadkill..
  21. HAPPY CHRISTMAS everybody! [ even though jesus wasn't born in december]
  22. My benelli M3 is a royal pain in the butt, like babbyc's, it needs cleaning a lot, doesn't like most cartridges unless they're either quite heavy, or really expensive, went to the gunsmiths to get it checked but cannot find anything wrong. i just use it on pump now, saves embarrassment. contrary to a previous remark about franchi spas12, mine is fine and hasn't missed a beat yet. Maybe its just dodgy italian quality control or something.
  23. they're both sec1 shotguns, legally you can only shoot what it says on the licence, clay targets aren't automatically granted, i found this out on here earlier this month.
  24. no need to get sarcastic, had the licence opened so "I" can survey my permissions, and just got the conditions changed for the shotguns, so's i can use them for clays also. Just really chuffed that it came back so quick.
