  1. Sorry about that chap, maybe i'll start up a new business on here, how much commission do you think PW will charge?
  2. hello mate, as you're a norfolk boy do you know where builders equipment is? they sell the stuff, its called SPIT and fits in an ordinary mastic gun. costs around 12 quid. have you drilled the holes yet? if you have then use a bolt 2mm smaller than the drill bit. the easiest way to fix the cabinet is mark and drill the holes, clean out the holes, then place the cabinet back in position and wedge tight to wall, thread the nuts on the bolts, apply epoxy resin, push bolts in, leave for about an hour and then tighten up the nuts. to protect the guns you can always wrap the heads with insulation tape.
  3. stuff like why you want the gun, where you intend to use it, some safety questions, if you're suicidal. he'll try to find out a bit about you, see if you're made of the right stuff,
  4. noy sure about acle, but my feo is paddy bowe, a thoroughly decent chap. depending on how busy they are bearing the time of year and holidays and stuff probably about 4weeks from date of interview. mine took a week but was a while ago. you can keep your gunsafe in the loft but its a royal pain in the ***.
  5. I gotta agree with this, just about sums up the whole thread.
  6. thats a shame, they make the saiga 12 shotguns too.they'll probably start up again tho, what will all the terrorists do now?
  7. i've used an adjustable rod rest, seems to work.
  8. Thanks to my neighbours either side of my house and their free range chickens, i've now got a fox problem. Usually i'm quite happy to leave the foxes be but we have got a rather expensive cat, he's come in on several occasions a bit battered and bruised but we thought nothing much of it other than it had probably been fighting the neighbours cat. Now i'm not so sure as i recently spotted fox droppings in my garden. I understand the need to control numbers and protect livestock, but we've been here 15years and not had much sign of them until recently. We've also seen a rise in the rat population, personally i'd rather shoot all their ****** chickens!
  9. a hawke scope is plenty good enough for a 22 rimfire, the optics aren't as good as leupold but to be honest at the ranges you'll be shooting the 22 at you probably won't even notice.
  10. when i did mine i slightly countersunk the holes just in case it splintered. i'm not sure if the stocks are made from scratch [ layers of veneer pressed together] or the ply is bought in, but sometimes there are voids caused by dead knots in the veneers, so maybe take fisters advice and glue the studs in just in case..
  11. Beer, really miss beer.
  12. yep, me too! INR's up and down for the last month, ears and nose bleeds galore.
  13. I can't drink! Boohoo! i'm on warfarin and alcohol messes with blood coagulation. Oh woe is me!!
  14. on a more serious note, i guess you're well shot, still a shame tho. Women have the uncanny knack of ripping your heart out at the worst possible moment. good luck to one and all in 2010!
  15. What are you lot doing with pictures of my MUM!
  16. i only ever put a patch down the barrel and that's once in a blue moon. the rest gets a good seeing to tho, every 1000 rounds or so i strip the firing pin mechanism. Other than that it just gets a wipe over.
  17. 8 shot Benelli M3 s90 works fine with anything over32g, bit fussy but can always use the pump. And the daddy of all semis, a luigi franchi SPAS12 10 shot which so far seems to cycle pretty much anything..
  18. you're just jealous cos we like him more than you! Don't let your envy poison your soul, relax, take a chill pill, you'll make friends soon enough!
