  1. This was top of my "internet" wishlist when i went looking for a dedicated clay gun....until i shot one! As you did, i found the recoil harsh with a variety of cartridges which i put down mainly to the light weight. Ended up with a CG Invictus Ascent, which is a much heavier gun and i love it
  2. Excellent again GG, do you shoot as well(with rifle)? Reason I ask is im finding it more of a pleasure stalking into the Roe on my perms and observing them, rather than shooting them. The last half dozen times ive been out ive just watched them through the scope, sometimes within 20yds rather than take the shot! The landowner probably wouldnt be chuffed with that, but as there are 2 of us on the ground I tell myself that he's shooting loads. I seem to get more pleasure now from the actual stalk and observation than i do the shot, perhaps its age?
  3. Ones ive been on meet up at 0830 for 0900 start
  4. Not a lot at this time of year im afraid as all the fair weather gardeners have hung up their boots for the winter. Youll get far more for it on the bay in the spring when people are putting their tatties in
  5. The problem with the puppy mats is they reinforce the idea that its ok to go to the toilet in the house. I wouldnt use them, instead take him out every hour to where hes allowed to relieve himself and then give really over the top praise when he does. Its a ballache but mine got the idea within a day or 2

Going by the recent threads about what people do for a living and various threads asking trades "what should i be paying" etc Would it not be an idea to turn this into a marketplace where people could indicate on the "What do you do for a living" thread if they were willing to help a fellow PW member out, if quite local, for a favour, cartridges, brace of pheasants, days stalking etc? It seems there is a wealth of knowledge out there that could help others out for something in return apart from cash?
  7. Nilfisk, had it 10 years + and never missed a beat, cost the princely sum of 40 sovs from the range Whats not to like?
  8. Me too im afraid, life is too short. If it gets **** wet through i will run an oily patch through it, but thats it(although it is stainless) Ive had it 7 yrs and its still more accurate than i will ever be. It lives with the mod on it too. If it goes tits up i will buy another.
  9. Ex forces, now a refrigeration engineer doing retail, commercial and industrial refrigeration and a/c....boring, its only the 24hr call out 1 week in every 4 that keeps me sane as I dont know whats coming next
  10. I dont care what guns people have if its legal to have them, then crack on. However, I wish that people who say "Bye"-twice, would actually mean it and foxtrot oscar instead of coming back to spout more drivel. I notice the OP hasnt posted again, probably thought **** this, im outta here!
  11. Cool, saves me applying for a pistol
  12. **** me , can we all chill, its the weekend You do have to be mindful of what you write on any internet based media as it can come back and bite you on the ***. Thanks for the reminder OP, can we move on pleeeaaase?
  13. I like Fiocchi Golden Pheasant in my sxs, dont feel punchy at all, but as has been mentioned-does the gun fit properly?
  14. Can I ask why you would pay to have a gun multi choked and then have 2 permanently fixed? Not having a dig, just genuinely curious
  15. Unfortunately youre not "doing" anything wrong. The problem is you are a white male who hasnt bred like a rabbit and you were born in this country. Sadly, Great Britain is only great if you werent born here. Trouble is you only find this out when you ask for a bit back!
  16. Would you sell the hood seperately?
  17. The only person thats ever died and is definately NOT going to a better place
  18. Our pool shoot is shot on the Sportrap stands i.e 5 bays and we shoot the same 2 targets from the 5 bays to give 10 targets. Its £3 per go with unlimited entries and 1/3 of the pot as the prize. I thought it would be a bit easy as were shooting the same targets from stands about 10' apart, but its surprising how easy it is to miss a few with the different angles created by moving along the bays. Im not worried about the same people winning the cash because I and many others I know use it more as a warm up/giggle before and after our rounds, than anything serious. To keep it a bit interesting there are flash clays hidden in amongst the targets and if you hit these you get small gifts like pin badges, pens etc with the shoot moniker on them. I enjoy shooting the pool shoot as we have a giggle
  19. That always goes a long way IMO, that somebody has taken the time to follow up a successful conclusion ALL manufacturers have problems somewhere along the line, but it is the speed and efficiency with which its sorted that is remembered. Theyre mechanical pieces of metal after all, with certain parts that take a lot of pressure, **** happens
