  1. Street trackers & scramblers are all the rage now, so much so bike manufacturers are producing their own ‘custom’ bikes. If I had that workshop that is what I would make, from a Honda CR or a Maico. Even if you no have intention to ride it you could sell it on to fund the next project.
  2. Another Kay’s Fasteners fan here, I never use steel if I can use stainless, my motorcycle is built entirely from their bolts and nuts. I always over order so now have a decent stock of all the common sizes. Pro bolt are also great but probably a bit OTT for what is being discussed here.
  3. Interesting how the same question a month back drew a whole different set of replies.
  4. He is right, you can't upscale a signal just connecting a cable that fits both ends. The cables you have seen go from HDMI to VGA not the other way round.
  5. If you are from the Midlands and working in Cardiff you will be going home at weekends no? I worked in Tripoli for 3 months at a time, so I am struggling to see Cardiff as a hardship (apart from the weather)
  6. 7x for me I use a Meopta which does have very fine reticule This a barrel cleaning are usually can of worms threads
  7. What did you change? I find going back to the 22 (are these days) the one thing is always forget is to follow through after the shot.
  8. What does the rest of the engine look like?
  9. One thing this process guarantees is a queue of people telling you you'll get "3-400 quid all day long if it has an MOT" You won't, you really won't. You wouldn't believe how little old secondhand cars are worth.
  10. I was going to say flouro is strong and thin but very brittle, so take advantage of the reduced diameter and fish much higher breaking strain that you would with mono for example. Also take care with your knots as it doesn’t ‘strangle’ like softer materials.
  11. From experience if it has alloys they will give you more, but the market goes up and down all the time depending on current demand for metals it seems. ASM do all the paperwork so you don't have concerns about being picked in your old scrap car a month later When I scrapped our car the truck was full of what you would traditionally refer to as new'ish cars. When I asked the driver he said the same, it seems one potential garage bill and they are scrapped, I guess there has to be a market there making one from two or fixing the issue for less if you are handy with cars.
  12. Depends how little you will accept and what the market is doing at the moment. You can get it taken away by any of the large salvage companies who were very efficient when I dealt with them. Just remembered their name, ASM they are in Aylesbury so not that far from you - you will most likely only get £70 or so.
  13. Is this the one that did pies? Have you tried the Doric Arms? I can’t remember why now, but we ended up in there once and I remember being OK’ish
  14. Seems its the Bree Louise, looks (looked) like a nice little boozer. I have only ever been to the Euston Tap which gets a bit manic when it is busy.
  15. The older you get the more it becomes clear you just have to do things, and you need to plan ahead as well. I, roughly, lay out what I going to do over the coming year during the Christmas break, if you say 'next year' too often it will never happen. If you haven't been before, do Le Mans, there is still nothing else like it.
  16. I'd fill yer boots before they are electric cars limited to 55mph Turns out is was 1987 and 88 we went, amazing atmosphere when Jaguar finally beat the then dominant Porsche 962's - even the French were congratulating us. Seeing the GT40's racing must have been quite something muffin
  17. We went twice back in the late 80's when the TWR Jags won and Mazda 767's were racing. I haven't been back, but wheat I have seen/heard the modern running of the race is a sanitized version of how it was back then. For good reasons of course. So all that's all need on this thread, someone telling you it's rubbish now don't bother Seriously though I would like to go back just to see (we went the MotoGP there last year) how much it has changed, but I would to go to the IOM TT before it is changed forever for safety reasons.
  18. Or at least have engine management software that can be edited to make it appear to meet tighter regulations
  19. Handy to know as I doubt it is the last time they will need doing.
  20. I am stalking Ninja you know Seriously though on my patch, roe hate being bumped during the pheasant season, whereas muntjac are a little more tolerant of it. Spooked roe will run and invariably stop, only briefly, then either settle or just go. Spooked muntjac just go and never stop usually alerting everything within half a mile!
  21. Good man, now get out and catch something on it before the weather turns wintery all over again :(
  22. Thanks, almost all of my deer go to the dealer these days but I had to keep that one. Perfect size & body weight for the table IMO. I shot another with my guest Sunday evening in the exact spot the roebuck was stood in the second picture. Bit of warmth and it was teeming, come on spring.
  23. or stray_underscores, *asterisks* & \backslashes, I mean <what> is *that* \all_about?
  24. I have a 3m whip which is pretty much what you are describing, only a bit shorter. All it has is a very soft tip integrated into a stiffer lower section.
  25. I have never been a member of the CPSA and have shot dozens of registered shoots birds only - including Churchill's shoots through the summer months.
