  1. Haha, haven't seen scum in years. thats a top tip, unless you really want a cure for constipation.
  2. I've got a mossy oak one i think its a 26inch barrel, mainly use it for clay shooting (mainly just because i often pop into the shops after going out after live quarry and find the semi to awkward to take down so i can take the stock with me) and i love it, never had a jam or any other problem with mine. I clean it after every trip out as with all my other guns, its a lovely gun to look at in my opinion but then i love everything camouflage From my own experience you wont regret your purchase if you get one and it will hopefully give you years of reliable service.
  3. Welcome to the forum mate, that meal looks great, love that its all from your garden cant get much fresher ingredients than that
  4. I got my car stuck once, parked at the end of a long grass track about a mile from the road, when me and dad came back the wheels were sunk so i told him to drive while i wound the passenger window down and pushed, Dad managed after some struggle to get it out and i got sprayed head to toe and it all came in the open window covering the passenger seat, dads first thought was to take a picture of me covered with his mobile as he couldn't stop laughing.
  5. Just ordered mine, black size medium, thanks for these again Teal.
  6. nice tip that mate cheers, have to remember that one
  7. Hello mate, what is the height width and depth of the cabinet please? will it take scoped air rifles? Cheers
  8. I got my dad a pair of high lace up boots with no zip made by hi Tec magnum and they have so far lasted him about 8 years just changing the laces, he loves them and says they are the best boots he has ever had, his don't have steel toe caps in though.
  9. I've caught a couple in the house over summer while I have the windows open, wondered what they were myself.
  10. 3 in one is all I have ever used on my air rifles and shotguns for cleaning and oiling afterwards, my dad always told me all you need is a thin oil, my guns don't have any rust on them and the bores are mint.
  11. I always use Norton, I get it in the half price sale every year and pay £20, never slowed me down enough to care and I have never had a virus with it and feel much safer as always using my bank card on it, My mate tried bullguard after being told by the shop it was the best, it was full of viruses two weeks later and the computer had to go back to be sorted so would stay clear of that one myself. If you want to stick with Norton just find it on sale in one of the shops, Argos, pc world, staples etc and just put that in, there is no need to renew online and pay the expensive prices. As with most things everyone has a opinion what is better you just take your choice.
  12. I have a 1965 single barrel 12 bore Baikal and its the gun i always pick up when I go for a wonder around the fields, it has sling swivels which I like so I can throw it over my shoulder when rolling a cigarette, I haven't noticed it kick any more than any other shotgun I have used, I get on better with a single barrel and for the price I paid can't fault it as its tight and works like new.
  13. I haven't ever used the lighter fuel one's but I always get on great with the charcoal stick one's, always use them when night fishing and work a treat, I also love the smell they give off, my dad has one from when he was a boy so been around for years and still works a treat.
  14. I've watched a few crossbow hunting videos on youtube for turkeys etc, i imagine it takes a lot of skill, how close do you have to get to your target to take a shot? it does look like a lot of fun and obviously a popular sport in America maybe one day i'll get to experience it myself but unfortunately we are not allowed to hunt with bows in the uk so it wont happen here, Good luck with building the punt gun i will look forward to hearing about it
  15. nice write up mate well done on the pigeon and nice gun hope it gives you hours of fun, good luck on the rabbits
  16. I hope you are better with a sxs than i am, i think i have hit something with it once and thats it but i love it to bits so wouldnt part with it and every now and again take it out to practice, im better with a single barrel or o/u, nearly every time i take a wander around the fields i take my single barrel baikal, its light and has a sling and is always my go to gun even though it was the cheapest. Semi autos are good, i bought a escort a while back and use it whenever i have a bit of fun on the clays, i to would love a fac but at the moment dont have the space for more guns but maybe one day, Hope your cert drops through the post very soon mate

  19. Congrats mate, I was over the moon after my visit as well and ran out to put a deposit down on two cheap secondhand shotguns a o/u and a sxs, couldn't wait to phone everyone and say it went well. You'll have lots of fun shopping for a gun and soon have a cabinet full, I said I would only buy one but it doesn't happen.
  20. I eat most things well past the date, especially eggs I just give them the water test once its been a few weeks out.
