  1. This^ Start off with a standard overall length and leave the bullet seating length for later, otherwise you have too many variables going on at once. work your Powder load up first and see how it shoots, One thing at a time 👍
  2. Hi Steve i’m sorry to hear that that’s not good news at all I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery and let us know how you’re getting on regards Silverfox one

  9. Hi we’ve just been put in tire 4 had a text this morning from the Gamekeeper all the driven pheasant shooting has been stopped, I’m on two different shoots in Kent I don’t know if this is of any help but maybe things might be different in Scotland, i’ve booked to go clay shooting this morning as well that was also cancelled Regards Sf1
  10. Thanks for the replies, I’m probably going to have to wait for a while until all the lockdown is over as I’m in Kent and just been placed in tier 4 and all the non-essential shops have been closed, not that I’m in any hurry it will give me more time to do some more research and make my mind up which one to go for
  11. Thank you for the reply, i’ll have a look at the vario’s as well I must admit I think it might be handy to have something you can turn off after I finished shooting as I probably would Forget to take the batteries out, I think I will talk to both companies before I make my mind up. Happy Christmas and stay safe Sf1
  12. Hi All i’ve had my recon pod for over a year now still going strong with no problems, I use them all the time for foxing and zero my rifle off of them too, I regularly take foxes between 90 and 200 yards with no problems I would feel confident at taking a 300 yards shot just that situation hasn’t arrived yet, Are they more stable than quad sticks probably not but I found them to be really good like anything practice makes perfect.
  13. Hi just wondering if anybody is using custom fit guards (cfg) and what you think of them, is there customer service any good? Would you recommend any other brands, i’m thinking about treating myself to a set of digital ones for shot gun and rifle shooting. I’ve had the noise breakers for a few years now and found them very good but they don’t do digital and they probably need upgrading because of changes to my ears fit etc, Any thoughts or feedback would be great regards Sf1
  14. Good choice that looks a very nice rifle, I’m interested in how you get on with it keep us updated regards Silverfox 1
  15. Yes a piece of AR 500 will stop your bullet Dead but it needs to be hung from some chains so when the bullet strikes the plate it angles The pieces down to the floor The bullets disintegrate on impact As Ar 500 is bullet- Proof And will last you years I zero my 223 at 100 yards using this, no messing about with expensive targets just a can of spray paint, have a look at best Fox call UK website Tom’s targets hope this helps regards Silverfox ps it will be cheaper than your car 😂
  16. If you would split I would like to powder hopper and stand, it would need to be posted though which I would be willing to pay for let me know what you think regards Silverfox
  17. I’m paying £12.54 for 50 regards sf1
  18. Yes I have one and a friend I shoot with has one too. What one-shot said is spot-on using the 30gr vmax it’s noisier than the .22lr because of the Sonic crack Point and shoot out to about 120 yards The wind does affect the bullet a bit but it’s fine when you get used to it, The 30 grain V-max Is A nice round to Shoot providing the rifle you buy likes them. I can’t compare it to the 17hmr because I’ve never owned or shot one regards Sf1
  19. Hi Subaru Forrester are very capable vehicles depending on ground clearance. I’ve always used Landrover ‘s myself and pretty much the main reason for this is because I know my way around them like the back of my hand So any repairs I am able to do myself. The last couple of years I have been running a Ford Ranger wild track I must say that I am very impressed with it I like the fact that the double cab interior has plenty of room and the dogs can go in the back which keeps the interior reasonable doesn’t end up smelling like an old dog kennel, Another plus point is any rabbits foxes i Shoot can go in the back and then it’s just a hosepipe to wash it out when you get home, I put a scaffold board across the back and we sit in the back rabbit shooting, The only thing I did do was put some mud tires on it for extra traction
  20. Hi have you had any luck yet, I’ve just checked my three reloading manuals and they don’t list any loads for n135, I had the same problem bought a tub of N133 to load for another rifle I have but can’t find any load data for my 22.250 looks like a trip back to my local gunshop when we are allowed out again for some n135 as well Let us know how you get on if you find anything all the best BSafe Sf1
  21. I wish Prince Charles a speedy recovery as I do anybody that has the virus. Things are bad at the moment and it looks like it’s going to get a lot worse yet. So this has given me an idea if the doctors and nurses cannot get the test kits to be tested, and you can buy them privately for £170 somebody could start crowdfunding to supply the test kits I for one would donate regularly, I would do this but it’s beyond me not very good with computers or wording things sometimes. Maybe we could donate an our shooting organisations would be able to sort this out do something useful for a change and maybe even show us in a good light. Just a thought regards to all be well and keep safe.
  22. Stay safe and well and let us know how you are all the best Sf1
  23. Start saving your pennies it looks like you’re going to have a shopping trip pretty soon good luck Sf1
