  1. What sort of seat? If it’s normal upholstery my wife does that as a hobby- she just didn’t wish to or have the pneumatic stapler to do the boat seat and I couldn’t trust myself to get it right
  2. Place just of Europa Way, opposite County Hall And thanks for the offer, will keep it in mind as might have/want to spray the rear deck lid where it ‘crazed’ in the intense sun where it was kept
  3. They were too tight - had a problem with one of the resizing dies, had been trying out a new neck size only one. My fault really and should have pulled them straightaways or at least not done some many rounds. You know how it is, a little nagging doubt in your head- this one stemmed from the charge initially as my Lyman Gen 6 dispenser went tits up so had to go old school. Then there was the neck issue I discovered on some cases when I went to seat a few. Oh well, try again :-) Well, I say that- it’s been 7 weeks now that a certain Company have had the Lyman and a repair/replacement cannot come soon enough. Luckily I have a choice of rifles to take to Bisley next week
  4. We are expected to retire at 60 ( assuming I stay in the same industry and especially so with our current Company), fortunately I will have a Final Salary to draw upon! Without this I would I’m guessing have to find other employment until the State retirement age of what might be another 8 years, seems an awful long time
  5. Whilst I enjoy reloading, I discovered today that I really really dislike dis-assembly of the things Had 76 rnds that I just wasnt happy with , neck tension just didnt seem right when I reloaded them but I proceeded anyway. This afternoon with a bit of time on my hands I thought I would dis assemble. Hornady cam to pull the heads was easy, dumping the powder was easy- even using a universal de-capping pin to remove the live primers went ok. But for some reason it was just mind boringly numb experience- guess as I had nothing to show for it afterwards. Got super back ache too from slouching in-excitedly over the Press. Anyone else have their own reloading pet hates?
  6. My mind got a bit confused and I thought you were talking about the Electric Blue video series from the 80’s :-)
  7. Hi Peck The bush is made of plastic of some description. Currently it’s bored out to 16.5mm, but to what it ultimately goes too I’m not sure until I have the rifle in my paws. Am guessing around 20mm? http://www.wildcatrifles.co.uk/moderator-parts-accessories-other.html

    new gun

very Nice. I treated myself to a new 725 Hi rib ( Stupidly high rib) and I really enjoy it but havent got it exactly set to fit correctly yet due to other commitments and clay shooting buddies taking an enforced break due to redundancies
  9. LC Without being too nosy, what sort of deal/place are you in that has a 25% reduction in price and if you wish to sell that you have to pay the fees before you even sell?
  10. Some while ago I posted as to if anyone had a discount voucher for Optic Warehouse. General consensus was to give them a call. Well what can I say, brilliant service and a few very good deals resulted in the purchase of a lovely IOR scope and Bushnell CONX rangefinder Very pleased indeed am and cant recommend them enough. Cheers guys
  11. Thanks Gordon, ended up taking the seat and fabric to a local upholstery place- cheaper than rental and the more I looked at it, the more I realised that in order to get a good end product was to let someone more ‘crafty’ than me do it. Steve Had thought of that and as it’s only a bushing that does not require to be perfectly snug ( think Ali from Wildcat explained the clearance needed was a fag paper) that I could dremel it, but as the above statement- like the end product to be right. I know my limits :-)
  12. Begging for two things possible. First one is anyone with a portable compressor that I could use, am trying to re upholster a boat seat and my electric stapler wont go into the plastic seat base. Will buy a pneumatic stapler unless someone has one of those too? I have a compressor already hence not wishing to purchase one, only problem is its 900 miles away... Second thing, someone with a lathe who can enlarge a plastic bushing for my over the barrel mod when my new rifle arrives. Thanks in advance Jay
  13. Heres hoping, good thing about the 700 is so many people offer aftermarket accessories and barrel replacement that its true in this instance that you really can polish a t u r d Edit as it wouldnt accept the polite word for excrement
  14. Just purchased a lefty Remington 700 SPS Varmint , still sat in the shop awaiting my variation to come through. Of all my rifles, only one other is a lefty (17hmr) and it doesn’t really bother me, but this time I thought why not- sold my A-bolt for it. My decision was based on the availability of after market parts/stocks etc as I’m a bit of a tinkerer Good luck in your search
  15. You mean retired on a state pension, know your game sonny :-)
  16. It’s not all canals you know....
  17. It’s frustrating as hell- some of its is probably from the EA themselves offering ‘advice’ to the Vendor, other times it seems the Vendors have been watching too many ‘escape to the country’ programmes and think they can put in place whatever terms they wish. We recently viewed a place north of Norwich, liked it but it’s not been touched for forty years Made our position clear and what I thought the place was worth to us and that in my opinion the market has overpriced itself and is heading for an adjustment. EA said “no no, this area is always increasing and the vendor has already had offers far in excess of what we were proposing”. Funny then that two weeks later the same house is now priced at £10000 less and still not sold a month later But........ as your not officially in a position to proceed ( very well and good saying your place will sell in a week but what if it doesn’t!) I can understand their wishes to see how your positioned- no one likes a time waster and house selling is notoriously stressful as it is without being strung along- I lost three house in a row , twice on supposed day of exchange/completion. In France where we were living it’s not unheard of due to the different way sales are conducted to ask for proof of income/expenditure, even from people wishing to enter into rental agreements But good luck with it and may I ask where about, via pm if you wish Wasn’t on Brunswick road by any chance?

    LIAR

Not suicide- unless he likes to slit his own throat ( or was it just a strangulation mark) What I couldnt understand is that in a previous episode he is carefully seen padlocking up the shed - yet last nights had the padlock being opened by the house keeper? So much for securing his stuff. There was a shot of a man standing near the seafront in the dark- was it Lauras new fella? Maybe he had a hand in offing Andrew So, a few unanswered questions for the next series which we will watch even if its only for the lovely Joanna Frogget
  23. Yep Was sat in the garden earlier catching some ‘rays’ when it went a bit dull, next thing I know I have been transported back in time when everything seemed to be in Sepia tone
  24. Looking at the ebay links I think I could do a ‘restore’ over a weekend— all it takes by the looks of it is a litre of hammering paint sprayed over everything except the gear levers......
