  1. Gosh, was only once a month in a piece of non farming / development woodland on a slope and I cant remember too many houses around. As I said, shame
  2. Yes, a claim regardless of blame will influence next year premium- but is next years premium increase as a result of a claim ‘Plus’ the additional increase to to a reduction of NCD worth the outlay now? £91 to protect seems a bit steep compared to what we pay ( maybe as we have been on max Bonus for many years it goes on a slid8ng scale?) Also, even if you don’t protect it, you do not loose all of your Bonus earned in the event of a claim- your policy booklet will show the step back that it takes
  3. Such a shame the Fletching Wood One has closed, any idea why? When visiting my folks I used to pop over as really enjoyed the informal atmosphere. Have shot Nightingale several times, it’s run really for fun which I think is great but limited stands.
  4. Prob of attaching directly to the Hill could be thermal transfer and subsequent condensation? Bulkheads might work though
  5. Never tried the RWS ‘z’ s but I do have 400 Winchester Long Z which I gather are the same. For sale if anyone wants them on a FTF basis. Trying to reduce down the vastly different stocks of ammo I have

You mean after getting a possible ‘deliberate’ puncture from Vettel- bit like Baku? For had he put Lewis out it would have given him a chance- maybe a Schumacher Hill incident....... But still, great result for Lewis and for Britain —- Go Hammy
  7. Not car insurance related but we have taken over financial duties for our parents. For years they have been paying the same Company for Household insurance, did a little digging and they are now insured for better coverage and all of their valuables are now listed and insured correctly whereas they weren’t before. How much saving??? £20 , £ 50? £100, £200? Nope ( same company and I rang to double check everything was equal to or better than before) .... try £420 That’s the problem of just accepting the renewal notice year on year I guess. Car insurance we have saved now for them and next in line is the gas/ elec
  8. Maybe, maybe not- but what I did see was premises with lots of parts being assembled on site in the U.K. As to their overall ownership? I like Chelsea but although it's not British owned I would still say it's a British Club But will say it once again- I only posted to let people know of the great purchasing experience that I had, just like I did with Optics Warehouse
  9. Thanks impala59 Think it will the Shield, the other linked items that you posted are a bit enclosed/chunky for what I wish- think the Shield will appear as almost invisible a give a good visibility around too and not make block out my view? Also as I still have a Glock 19 at my old place in frogland , the mini plus mount would sit nicely on it. Just need to see if a picatinny option mount avail too which I'm sure is. The fact they are used by our forces is a good endorsement too, bit like the Spartan bipod about which I have posted.
  10. Indeed the copies are reasonable, but I’ve ‘been there’ and thought why not. My posting was just to say what great service you will receive from Rob and the team and for those interested in something along these lines the get on the phone— you never know what the outcome might be? Plus after buying various cheapo Chinese parts over the years with a lifespan usually measured in days rather than years I thought I would buy British design and manufacturing.....
  11. So you can clearly see that they are ‘shooters’ otherwise how would we have known ;-)
  12. Thanks Graham I have a couple of the ‘mounts’ that can be let into the stock too to make things look even neater.
  13. Just YouTube Spartan engineering , shows you all you need to know but of course can sort something if you wish ? Just pm if you need any further info
  14. Any links please As you can see from the other thread I’m terrible when it comes to spending, besides the cat doesn’t really need feeding this month!
  15. Looking for a good red dot sight to go on top of the hopefully repaired target shotgun? So whats good? Shield , aim point etc? Needs to be the holographic type for and not scope ( have one of those already) Cheers
  16. Generally though, all I wanted to really put out there was the above and beyond service I received from them
  17. Lloyd90 They do, and I’m prob my worst enemy but as said- I have Harris etc all affix via the forward swivel and yes it wouldn’t take more than a min to swap from one rifle to another. But have found a pod gets in the way when shooting of sticks and this way I can use it as a pod or when on sticks just whip the thing off and put it in my pocket ( admission, I also have the matching scabbard) Other little consideration was cabinet space- all rifles with normal pods on tend to clash/take up a little bit extra room, this way I have gained a bit of space for more purchases ;-)
  18. I know- pricey buttttttttttt Depending on how many rifles you have its a case of having just the one bipod and adapters on each rifle. So...... Say four genuine Harris pods on rifles and were not far off! It is a bit of an extravagant purchase but thats my problem - I have a shooting addiction :-)
  19. Visited the guys at Spartan the other day with the view to purchasing a new bipod. Rob and the team couldnt have been more helpful if they tried- was umming and aaaahing over which model to go for. Robs solution! Take them both to the range and see what you prefer, or take one and if you dont get on with it Im happy to swap them over Spent the afternoon playing on Century ( love the new electronic targets), found merits to both bipods but settled on the Spartan 300 as in my mind I prefer to have the option of removing a bipod if not required, rather than having to fit one if required. Brilliant engineering and quality- for those that dont know, they are carbon over alloy detatchable bipods via magnets. Also interchangeable with other systems for stalk, such as sticks. Might be a wee bit expensive but having had genuine Harris pods and non gen, these are in a different class Once again, thanks Rob
  20. Is a ‘head toe’ very similar to a ‘camel toe’ .
  21. From our bike racing days we used the Beta tools range, they did a great modular box for pit lane use which I guess would be suitable?
  22. Ben You do realise your Flickr account is set to ‘allow access to all’ and that there are some pics of your girlfriend on there doing things that maybe she shouldn’t! Oops, sorry- that’s my Flickr account ;-)
  23. Blame it on the ‘meds’ Like Gordon, I struggled to piece together all the info into the correct timeline

Not that simple I’m afraid, there are many criteria to be met for establishing ones domicile and other influencing factors too.
