  1. Would you let your plumber ( just an example and not directed at any particular profession) carry out Neuro Surgery on you? Sure he has an idea where the brain is and knows you have to gain access to the Cranium, but that's his extent of knowledge. This is the point I was trying to put across. We all know that you were/are involved in the Finance Industy-- surely your not that blinkered or on the 'sidelines' that you haven't seen the Forecasts/reports of future expectations? As to being a sore looser/bitter! Never have been one and hopefully never will- but as this has had serious implications to my Family situation already and god only knows what's next, then dam right I'm a little concerned.
  2. When I left school and worked at a Rover dealership I got to drive many- but the best memory was of one that had been to 'Avon' or something of similar name and had a 1480cc big bore and all the tuning. Flew along but the non servo'd brakes were terrifying
  3. Thank you Finally someone who realises the FTSE100 is not the golden indicator of 'Great Wealth' It's artificially high due to the fact that the Companies involved are directly linked to Foreign Currencies and so with the drop in value of the Pound- these Companies values are then seen to increase. Like most things it's all 'smoke and mirrors' and without sounding condescending, the consequences/ understanding of the implications of the vote are above many... We vote in Governments to Govern- and should not have given the ultimate say on the Nation to the masses ( that's not because I'm a sore looser but truly as the statement above, do not believe 'Joe Public' has the full comprehension of World Dynamics and Financial dealings beyond how they are influenced by their day to day activities.
  4. Adge and Anser2 have their opinion and already have experience of the vast changes since the out vote- As do I to the tune of £1300 a month less for feeding/clothing and putting s roof over the heads of my family. Once the reality bites to ALL then maybe-just maybe people will realise the Great Britain isn't 'Great' as far as World play goes. But in the meantime let's not let this thread go the way of others and become a Stay/leave slanging match.....
  5. Nope- thinking about it I think it would still be classed as Sec1 as it's not technically a 'Shotgun' , but a high powered air gun that is capable of firing 'shot'
  6. Well if components are sourced overseas and with the falling pound due to Brexit concerns then was inevitable.
  7. Stumper No1 is the length of the barrel for section 2 at 22.5"- but as its non repetition or pump/semi then it's poss to have shorter barrels on section 1 As to being able to use 'solid' then as its sec 1 you could ask to add 'slugs' , subject to having good reason of course
  8. Noticed that here- they have silly rules that you even have to keep the original packaging, hence so many cellars around here are full of ****. We have renovated this house over the last 8 years and a remarkable amount of receipts that are need for tax claims have simply 'vanished' and are left with scraps of paper where ink once was?
  9. Plus 1 Beginning to think that quite a few here have some very Insular and narrow minded views of the world, apart from Vikings excellent build thread I'm considering deleting PW
  10. Which model? And do you have their website?
  11. I recently posted about a 'new' Remmy 1100 auto in .410 It's €1600 euro.which before 23rd June would have been £1230 but now with the rates is £1467--- still toying with the idea.....
  12. I do believe Stonepark is correct- received the same answer for my Revo Pump
  13. Have the same 'warning' on a Pug my folks have- always seem to occur when they have let the battery go flat ( it's a car at their holiday place) I take it out and give it a good 'thrash' and every time the warning has disappeared?
  14. Disgusting and there is just no reason for it?
  15. Have read 'Cold Granite' and have 'Dying Light' on the iPad ready for when I get some 'Me' time

    Legal question

Spanish law, residency does not override a Countries laws- something my wife still cannot get into her head after living in France for several years......
  17. Nooo, use a soldering iron or a heated up screwdriver tip to melt s nice neat hole in them.

If IHT has been applied then 'No' further taxation should be applied--- even HMRC aren't that greedy
  19. I stand very much corrected - thankyou AndyH for the reference. Fortunately for me here it's not a problem- still get all sorts sent through the post and if I'm stuck for something then the local Decathlon holds some good stock. Nothing is calibre specific except military calibre so slugs and most rifle carts are avail. But, for those restricted calibres you can still buy the components mail order but as before- not have them assembled.
  20. Ours isn't 24/7 although in the next village you can sneak up to one of the containers if req. It doesn't shred very well that's true but had so much of it that I thought it was that or several trips - plus I hate the stuff, the sap seemed to give burns so the sooner it was gone the better. Even the weeds here are tough- used a flame gas gun on them and they still didn't wilt- guess they are used to being bone dry and 40' over summer?
  21. AFAIK they are legal to own and buy without an FAC Just the same as buying the other three components ( expanding excepted) in that you can have all four together legally but as soon as you assemble them then your in poo poo without the authority to posses that calibre. That's my understanding of it......
  22. UKPoacher You too. Used to do trips to the dechetterie but a few years ago we bought a petrol shredder- made light work of it all as in our region we cannot have fires until mid oct. Dam stuff is along most of our stone walls where it interweaves itself into and behind the stones. Tried neat Glyco on it and I could swear I heard it laugh back at me saying ' is that all you have got' In the end it was a case of every evening when it was cooler going out and cutting it out piece by piece. Have stripped it from all the oaks and fig trees and they look so much healthier now.
