  1. We're you sporting the same conker gathering uniform?
  2. I know a nice little place in perranporth? On a serious note you could look at forest holidays, there's one in the Forest of Dean, it has nice cabins! Not a dedicated adventure park but there is loads of outdoor activities/companies based very close, nice spot too mate although I expect the peak time cost will sting

If you need a brickie on the extension I'm up for a working holiday
  4. What a runt, needs some proper justice. I live just by the place too! Gotta get out of this **** hole
  5. Just to clarify, I don't include Sikhs or Hindus as THEM, In fact I am friends with many of both communities and think they are wonderful people who add more to my area and community than a lot of the white natives
  6. Enough was enough when lee rigby was murdered, but still nothing was done about it, the BIG problem that is not the two murderers. We don't mix well with THEM and we're not allowed to admit the problem openly. They should have their part of the world and we ours. It's such a frustrating situation to see our country going down the pan!
  7. Morning, I was recently asked to quote for a porch, he said I want it exactly the same as one he had seen me do a year before, so I gave the price and he said I was miles out, £4800 was my figure and the nearest competitor quote was £3400, so I respectfully go for it, then he came back saying we've looked at his portfolio and his work isn't as good as mine, we really want you to build it but for less, so I said are the quotes the same spec? Yes he said. No chance I said. He showed me the other quote and the spec was polar opposite to mine. I pointed this out and he said can you do his spec for cheaper to which I declined. My price means it will look like the one that he had seen me build and made him to contact me in the first place. So be clear in what you want and clarify what your getting, if you find a good tradesman you'll be fine Good luck
  8. Couldn't agree more, I waste so much time travelling to the coast to fish
  9. We've been saving for years now and have accumulated a considerable sum to enable us to move away from South Birmingham, I know the grass isn't always greener but it will be better than the sinking ship I live in Atm so the place for me has to be Cornwall and the time has to be asap which should be by the time 2015 is over
  10. Fair play, I actually know the chap who owns fishing hut, and skate hut, nice fella and it's just round the corner, also Paul's angling supplies is good for some stuff too which oddly is also just round the corner from me and by fishing hut

  15. I,m sure the people on this show will be (carefully selected) ok, polar opposites from the filth that live not too far from me. But as said we have plenty of our own horrible specimens also.
  16. up here in Birmingham the current rate is around £425 per 1000, £12.50 per mtr or £150 a day. hope that helps. ollie
  17. No idea but what would you want minimum? You know your own overheads etc. also what do you know about the other company with the contract at present? Do they have offices, how many staff, vehicles??? Or are they a small team or sole trader? If they want someone new is it really because they are unhappy with the services of the existing firm or could it be because you will do the same job but possibly for less? The more you know the better position your in! You may have thought all this yourself so apologies if that's the case, just my thoughts from a builders point of view Cheers
  18. Not into bikes at all but it would be the first one for me, I'm sure you,ll enjoy it which ever you decide!!
