Thank you PC. Well done !!

How do you manage to pick up in a field like that ?? I'm not a dog-owner, but friends who are seem very wary of picking up in standing wheat / barley, for the dog's health !! I don't think I would feel good about tramping around to find birds, unless you are only dropping them precisely in the flat channels 😇

Had a major issue cleaning barrels after steel shot last season - black skin inside the barrels. Resolved with WD-40 on a brass brush, left a minute then vigorous strokes up/down barrels - like new and only 2-3 minutes per barrel (make sure removeable chokes are tight in the barrels first!!)

Wow - Awesome bag - well done !!!! 😃 How did you find picking-up after, do you have dogs ?? Been told that dogs and barley (maybe wheat too) don't work to well together ?? Anyway, big congrats 👍

Fantastic day - well done to you and Dad !!

How did you manage to pick up in the mustard ? Or do you have a dog(s) ?? My comment is based on some mustard that I can shoot, but it is too high now to pickup in, otherwise I would be trampling the crop !! (apart from the margins per your photo ). As a non dog owner I'm not sure if dogs can pickup anyway, due to the very strong smell from ripening mustard ?? Anyway, very well done - I am just jealous Nick

"use reel to store the line" - ok for small fish etc, but if you are for example sea fly-fishing for bonefish / tarpon / permit etc you have to fight the fish from the reel - no way you can cope hand stripping line back after a milkfish goes 150yds !!!! I wouldn't play a salmon here in the UK unless fight it from the reel
-
Fly reel handle on opposite side to casting hand, so you can cast/hold rod and reel with the other Depends which is your 2-hand lead hand. I am lucky to be ambidextrous on this and can cast 2-handed with either left or right hand leading, so makes changing to opposite bank nice and easy

Have used Covent Garden FX who gave great service, great (was best at time) transfer rate and delivered next day by Post Office. Good rates also to swap back to £ on return with some leftovers !!!!
