  1. Was shooting my BP revolver last Thursday. Not a Westlake but good fun nevertheless. A .44 ball is a big old lump of lead. I'll be waiting for the review too.
  2. Thought this ^ the other day. Love a big twin. Had an old school R100 and a few Moto Guzzis. Take a look at the GS too, a few guys at IAM used to ride these to Nurburgring and cane them round. Recon either RS or GS will fit your bill.
  3. Mine too. Hedgehogs love them. We were regularly getting 10 or 11 a night in our garden and had no serious slug damage. Then we got the terrier.........
  4. I call the clays with the gun just out of the shoulder. I find it helps to get the gun moving and maintain the swing. I have a habit of stopping the gun especially if I have too long to think about it.
  5. Pet hate, it's bad manners. Used to see it all the time, ejecting either into the chest to drop on the floor or over the shoulder at anyone behind him. And it was always a him. No attempt to catch or pickup despite how loud we pointed out where the bin was. Then you have to scrape around to get a decent footing or pick up his before you shoot. Rude
  6. Yep, mate reported no cement or concrete lintels, Hastings area
  7. I am not going to google brown booby!
  8. Recrown and clean the barrel, should be spotless, then float it in the stock. Once that's done zero without the mod. My 22 barrel is an ex target club gun and must be 50+yrs old. Still shoots better than me. Have to agree that crown looks literally hammered.
  9. Well I wont be posting much tomorrow as I'm off art paying for clays and throwing lead between them. Meeting up with a couple of pals I haven't seen for about a year.
  10. Have you accidentally checked the marked as read option? If I tick marked as read I think it greys out. If you've checked "mark site as read" this may explain it. It should go back to colour with as new unread replies appear though. "some of the topics" sounds like the marked as read has been ticked or you just read it all in that topic.

    SECOND JAB

Pretty much the same as the 1st reaction only a little milder. 24hrs after jab a bit achey, mostly shoulders, and tired. Same sore arm too.

    Strap on

I have a slip on pad that I'll try and it's long enough that I can add some cork sheet packers. As for soldiers in 1914? I'm sure they we're made of sterner stuff than a 60yr old with bony collar bones. Also I doubt they spent much time in the trenches shooting prone in a t-shirt on a baking hot sunny day. Plus, I feel having jonny foreigner shooting back may have adjusted their priorities somewhat. Thanks for all your replies

    Strap on

OK calm down..... I'm after a recommendation for a strap on gel pad. I've acquired a 1906 smle with a brass butt plate. My collar bone tells a story. That story is currently yellow and green. 25 rounds of PPU's finest left me battered and bruised but grinning. I've seen the Jack pike ones but they just look like a suede shoulder patch. I'm after something with a gel insert that'll let me shoot all day. (targets). Pointers please. Tia
  14. I'm sorry but after 3.5mins of that video do much smoke had been blown own up his **** I had to turn off.
  15. Clean mine every 150-200 pellets. If I don't I start getting the occasional flyer. S400 MPR 177 so Walter Lothar barrel.

    Which one?

By all means go with your gut armed with information about the potential pitfalls of the rifles you mentioned. Most HFT boingers go with the TX. There'll be a reason for that and it's not about buy British or brand loyalty.

    Which one?

I would say by far the most popular is the TX of the 3 you've mentioned. Seen 1 Prosport used but the pose a problem with the long underlever and fitting a hamster, it was attached to the lever in case you're wondering. And I've seen a few black 97's, one in particular comes to mind with titanium innards including a small piston. Most are Tx200 and I suspect it's because they're Bob on out of the box. But I'd agree with Mice and go with the pcp unless you're after making life "a challenge" in which case you might consider a 22, but that way madness lies!
  18. Got mine this morning on my return to work. Very please with my purchased.
  19. Why advertise if you're not sponsored? Never seen the point.
  20. Mechanical warranty but you'd have to ask them for the final details I'm afraid. I've never needed to use it and have two years left of whatever it's worth.
  21. I will have he chokes double checked. My barrels were/are stamped not for ball.
  22. Almost everything that I've so far read. @London Best I have seen an article with reference to Danes using Damascus but it pretty vague and only a short paragraph. It was why I posed this question. I'll go have a look for some light 2.5“s Thank you gents
