  1. A good mate of mine has one and everyone is on the waiting list for it
  2. I have a small camp I pass weekly and can see a dozen or so caravans on it so didn't want to embellish the true number as never been into the main one lol
  3. Been thinking, you have had a unique wide range of trucks and get your currently more than happy with your Amarok, but which one would you say was next overall favourite?
  4. Thanks very much for your help and more than happy with my shooting bus and when the going gets tough I jump in the shoot Landy's BUT having said that. . . . what do I buy next? Me thinks it will have to be a pick-up but like the SUV's as keeps the wife more happy but can't have a Landy nor quad bike for getting pinched as we have a few members of the caravan club members around here.
  5. I got 215/65/16 fitted and they are quiet on main roads, I go up plenty farm tracks and park on soft verges and it never spins. I got a dog box in the back LOL but seriously what kind of box am I looking for?
  6. Interesting, I've not long had a 2004 auto 2.0L model and put Geolanders on it and always just pop it into D and give hardly any revs and it goes but have never 'felt nor noticed' the 4wd kick in. I've only heard it spin once and that was before I had the Geo tyres fitted. I asked the question as I'm not a mechanic so dunno how to tell if it's 4wd or not
  7. Lovely words of wisdom from you all and like Dougy I'm no way artistic but very much admire quality in it's various forms and will be chuffed to bits if it ends up kind of straight, the top doesn't fall off and doesn't get run over by the Landy on the 1st day! Like many I have seen some absolutely stunning sticks and lots about £50 which I know will never repay the hours of craftmanship that has gone into the finished article. I would like to start by knowing the correct tools required, I don't want to go down the commercial route of selling them but know lot's of beaters who have next to no capital nor savings and would give them as pressies and do a couple for myself. I like the of cutting my own wood but the farmers I know don't have any as never seen any while out shooting. I think I'd prefer to start as David suggests above with a couple of blanks and a piece of lime, maybe someone could suggest a listing on eBay I could buy along with chisels etc? I do really appreciate all comments and help so far and please bear with me with what might be stupid questions but as a wise man once told me. . . . if you don't know something lad you simply just dunno! Cheers all
  8. Hi all I really fancy a go at making a stick but where do I start? The only real thing I know about wood is the harder and darker it gets the expense increases. I know there are some top top lads on here so maybe someone could start me off with this thread and maybe some other members may have a go too? Thanks in advance
  9. Italy have finally found talent, they now need them to play slick. England were better but they had an easier match. 2 weeks time should be interesting again tho
  10. I think your stuck between a rock and hard place mate, that's a difficult one to answer. . . . You could always buy a new 38, try it and if you don't like it sell it to me as 2nd hand!
  11. Glad your over the moon sir and as always PW is a fountain of knowledge. . . . . . . . we should all meet for a party one day; if possible to associate shooting and B&B
  12. They just want rid of shooting; point blank
  13. The Virgin part of the jigsaw won't effect your TV choice. But all modern tv's have reduced speaker size to make them slimmer so if your hearing not so good get the soundbar too, unless your my neighbour
  14. True sir, but they did very well last night, far far better than I expected so maybe this year they come last ( but after the 1st weekend performance maybe 2nd last ) but not demolished!
  15. I thought Ireland were class and will wait until I see how France open before deciding who will probably win, but on that match alone IRE are worthy of world cup finalists. England were kind of decent up front and in the backs but they didn't link up in a fluid manner, obviously a new team. Scotland played very well and reckon Italy will give Wales a run for their money or not. PS. Was Itojie actually playing, I did see him on the starting list but never saw him on camera. . . . .must need a new TV
  16. I would say you could use a broom or prop shotgun, the exercise will be to stop you stopping and be fluid when you pull the trigger, hitting a bird is a totally different exercise and would need a bird, gun and bullets. I know several people who can hit clays for fun but are only fair shorts on live game and more people who are vice versa ( point and case; me ). There are lot's of very clever experienced people on PW and will answer any question you may have. If you have a gun then buy some 'snap caps' to practise more like real life, if you don't have a gun. . . . . I would kindly suggest your going to need to buy at least one! Good luck
  17. 6 Nations is always an interesting tournament; I love it and had amazing times visiting Edinburgh on tour but never managed to wear the spoofing jacket even after a lot of practice and effort on my behalf, , , , life used to be tough! It's always a balance between youth and experience, take the might of South Africa but they are getting too old so have to add new young blood which will dilute the flow of the team even if they are individually brilliant but that's the job for the coach! On viewing the line up as already mentioned Curry is worthy of the pack leader but have seen Ford shouting hard at players in previous years so if the backs are happy following him life will be good as he is a tactician as someone needs to guide the troops while Curry is busy sorting out the issues within every scrum, ruck and maul; depending on which hat he is wearing. . . . . . . poacher or gamekeeper!
  18. I don't agree with it but every G7 country is under immense pressure from their population aged under 40 to do the right thing, say the right thing and make them feel safe as they feel threatened by life. . . . . therefore all these snowflake, woke or modern type demands need to be paid for, in my eyes the Congestion charges are nothing compared to the charges/taxes that are heading our way. I'm pleased I'm in my twilight years of life as don't fancy the donation I'm going to have to pay but so so pleased I'm not starting out as those associated bills will be nothing else but eye-watering NB. Please don't shoot the postie
  19. Would you be kind enough to put me on your waiting/reserves list. . . . I can PM you with my details if there is a chance. Cheers
