  1. We don't have winter in the tropical SE. It has been odd weather over the past week. It's been a dull grey, very still, very close and there hasn't been much road traffic at all. It's been more like during the covid period .... quiet.
  2. πŸ˜‚ Did this guy ask... what's a SGC gov.? The only possible downside could be that he knows where you live.
  3. Known in the trade as a chancer. Imagine the potential problems if you had sold it to this clown. He could have gone straight round to the local school .. or anywhere and done naughty things with it and you would have been held responsible.
  4. πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜„πŸ˜†πŸ˜… Love it, Love it, Love it. It just makes you wonder how these oafs manage to put the cornflakes in their mouths. Ere mate got a new gun mate. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚.
  5. Ok, the above can be very patchy. Ok my GP's surgery practise can be a real pain to deal with to get an appointment and it can be a bit of a lottery as to getting through. They only book appointments for the day in the morning. You have to be keen hound on the phone. 2 seconds to 8 and the line is not open. 1 second past 8, you might get in the queue and be given a queue position number. There is a similar second session at 11 o'clock. mostly I have been able to get an appointment on the day. But you can use E consult which can contain pictures of a condition. When I had an operation on my Achilles tendon I got an infection. One of my daughters took pictures of the pink leg and within half an hour we had a reply which told us that antibiotics had been prescribed and half an hour later the girls had been to the docs, got the prescription and had returned . Some of it means that you have to be a bit tech savvy and have the use and knowledge of phone , Apps and the internet.
  6. We have some friends where the woman loves shooting and is a very good shot. The man is into bikes and cars. I took her clay shooting to another of my friends and she was so made up with the situation that he had. Suddenly there announced that they were selling up ..... LIKE NOW. and ended up moving from Kent right up in the north of Scotland. I'm not tottally sure of the exact location because it is all hush hush and secret.???? Basically it sort of forms into sort of idea of seclusion .?? The idea is a bit sort of along the lines of the TV series "The good life". from what I understand it might be an idea but the reality is that It is pretty miserable up there. It rains, Constantly. It's cold, Mainly, Its blowing a gale, Mostly. She can't find any shooting , the locals are pretty dour and treat them as interlopers. He hates it and wants to come back home tomorrow. It's like being in a lift. all the time you in that lift, your being transported up or down BUT if you get out of the lift (sell up} you either stay where you are or you have to use the stairs to go up or down. It would not surprise me if they parted ways and he came back down south and she didn't .. who knows, but it doesn't sound like something I would do.. up sticks and go somewhere else on an idea. People are just people and there are good and bad in all situations. you just have to make the best of what you have. Ps. A family moved down here from the western isles and they hated it, Mainly tied up with the weather. they said that it was too warm down here. Example.. one day it was very cold but the bloke was wandering about in a vest T shirt. they went back up north after a year down in the tropical south.
  7. A nice gun. Shame about the blood stain but it will still do what it was designed to do. I really looked hard at a Guerini Aruem In 28. Really nice quality gun but I bought an AyA #2 SL rounded action in28 instead.
  8. The above... always considering that they got on well. It could be that he is doing triple backward somersaults and needs someone to go shooting with.
  9. Um, I take it from the above that you must be looking to emigrate to the greener grass on the other side of somewhere. Let me know where you end up.
  10. You see what I mean..... moan moan moan. You only have to look at news from around the world to see how great GREAT BRITAIN is. Most of the countries in the world are either under dictatorships or suffer from wars famine or religious fear and control. Generally life is good here. Oķ things might not be to everyones personal liking but I'm sure that even in heaven some of the angels moan about how some angels get issued whiter robes than what other get issueď. And it's starting to get light here so another day is dawning. Donald and Kamela are fighting it out on the deck today and probably tomorrow and into the future. The doom and gloom merchants would really have something to moan about if they lived in 90% of the rest of the world.
  11. Well what about Wednesday..?? oh yes.. I'm on the slab to have both my eyes worked on for cataracts. Hopefully my eyesight will be so good that I might be able to score 100/100 with my target rifle again.
  12. I read a lot of doom and gloom on Pigeon Watch about the UK, but it can't be all bad. Yeah but a lot of posters on here are a load of miserable fellows who will moan about the moon or sun being up in the sky. Take no notice. Both the sun and the moon will rise again tomorrow.

Do you mean kami, kwarsi.? Wasn't he the bloke that liked a big crash.? Again not an MP If she didnt get elected in Portsmouth, considering she was the sitting MP, I can't see her standing a snowballs chance in hell in a contest against Khan in a predominantly coloured London election.
  14. BUT, like the Lorial tv advert... they're aving it because they're worth it.! The money doesn't exist. IF PROFESSIONAL agents were dealing with the properties the rent would not be less and the money would be scammed off into some private company. At least with the royal family the vast majority goes into the local economies and upkeep of these properties for the good of the nation. Who would you rather have it.? Scargill or Corben types like the present labour gov who are going to tax out of existence family farms.

Unlikely without a by-election because she failed to get elected so she isn't an MP. shame that she wasn't elected in place of Sunak. I thought that she was an outstanding candidate.
  16. A bit like the French. No one follow the French and the French don't follow anyone else. Those Citroen cars.. the DS, GS, Ami 8. 2CV and the vans that were like a corrugated tin sheds on wheels. The suspension systems and the brakes. Those French Gaulose fags OH and GARLIC Ugh.
  17. I've got a B325 Grade 5. Stunning gun which I shoot well with but 2 of the son in laws just don't like it, even though it dusts everything that they point it at. neither of them would have it as a gift. strange. Your pictures are terrible. it just looks like a black stick. I'm sure that it looks better than the pictures show.
  18. I've never heard that term. it's always been called beating. The beaters cart. must be a term from East Anglia region.
  19. what activity is "Brushing"?
  20. I suppose its what is construed as a threat. To get a reaction. I've had pigeons land on the field between me and the pattern and just start feeding as they naturally would.... then suddenly realise that something is wrong and fly off.. for me to mis .!! I've known a couple of thousand pigeon to rise as one as soon as I came round the corner of a wood 1/4 of a mile away from the marsh field where they were feeding on rape. How many times has the bird been coming in committed to landing in the pack and suddenly sheared away with the afterburners on. Its all down to the awareness of a perceived threat of some sort real or imagined. The mass rising of the pigeons must be down to one bird seeing something and it takes off and boom the whole lot go. Sort of like a group action like the effect of Zebra stripes on the eye/ mind of a lion.
  21. 🀣🀣🀣 love it, love it, love it... I used to mainly shoot standing BUT latterly I tended to try toʻ build small hides to take advantage of the smaller machine cut hedges to get on the natural flight lines. I have successfully shot standing up against an 8x8 gate post without a hide as such which was on a line. Just got to keep still.
  22. The above is about right. Over the last 4 renewals no one has asked about security or been to look at or check guns or serial numbers. The main question is... is everything the same as last time.? There are no cups of tea or biscuits etc. They just come , go through the paperwork and get away. They don't seem to have any time for random chit chat. Minor points covered qbout the amount of ammunition bought and reloaded... certs will be in the post..... done
