  1. I think what is offered here represents excellent value for money, it's just what I'm looking for. I fully respect and appreciate what the big organisations do but at this moment in time all I require is insurance. Been really impressed with what I've read in this thread and others so I'll be signing up this moment.
  2. I liked the video. Where do we stand with this type of decoying in the UK? My guess is it would be deemed unethical. Seems to be very effective though.
  3. I'll cry fake also. No one would ever do that, would they?
  4. I'm starting nights tonight at 10pm. Only 4 to do instaead of the usual 7 thanks to annual leave :-) I'm still depressed as I type this though.
  5. I was going to ask about muck boots before I finished reading the thread, it seems alot of positive things to say about them. I've seen them at all the country shows and was tempted. Any particular model to go for? Walking/shooting ect.
  6. Kind offer, Shame I'm down south :(
  7. Wow that was instant, like a light switch.
  8. Catamong beat me to it. http://www.419eater.com/ The trophy Room is worthy of a visit
  9. Well done mate, I got my first permission by sticking a post it note onto a gate lol. Had a call back a few days later and secured a little 5 acre rabbit shoot :-)
  10. I started a couple of years ago doing kits but have moved onto all grain. It's actually staggering what you can make at home without spending a fortune on equipment. I'll post a link to the forum I use, really helpful bunch and the knowledge of some of the members is immense, everything is covered. I brew BIAB (brew in a bag) style which negates the need for a mash tun, but still allows all grain brewing including the mash. This is a nice little coconut porter I made with loads of pics that show the process I use. Glad to see some brewers here http://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=13457&hilit=gail+porter
  11. Thanks for taking the time to reply guys. Just waiting for some days off and I'll get to it
  12. This is what I've done. Full height 3 gun safe bolted to the wall inside wardrobe. Luckily I was building the wardrobes anyway so measured and cut out the wardrobe backing before fitting. Safe slid up to the wall a treat and you'd never know it was there with the clothes in the way. The licensing officer was stoked.
  13. Trouble is money is a bit tight. Even though I've no idea when the unit was bought? It came with the house.
  14. Hi Guys, Any Plubmers/Shower Experts out there? I've got a Triton T300SI power shower that has developed a problem. First the PRD blew which I replaced then not long after it went again, I checked the pipe which wasn't kinked, the supply comes from a sort of holding tank so has no issue with mains pressure, so I cleaned the shower head of scale ect... Now since fitting the PRD for a second time another problem seems to have developed. When you switch the shower on in it's normal mode even with the temp turned right down it's too hot, temp then drops to where it should be but then goes too hot again this repeats itself, no problem with water pressure and nothing is coming out of the pipe the PRD connects to. The only way anyone can get under it now is if you turn onto economy mode and set temp halfway, trouble with this is the definition of power shower is lost and it's a trickle, well in comparison to how it was anyway. Reluctant to get ripped off if it's just a simple fix. Any Ideas??? Many Thanks in advance
  15. Cracking video, I love how these nature films are shot and narrated. Even the music is right.
  16. I tell you the sad thing is that I'm 35 and have never seen a red in the wild. I live down South. And it is for that precise reason I shoot every single grey I can without compunction. I'd happily shoot the very last one left, in this country of course. I forgot to say, great pics
  17. I'm so glad someone finally posted this, Firearms Rules 1989 Sect 3 Para 4 http://www.opsi.gov.uk/si/si1989/Uksi_19890854_en_1.htm A the firearms and ammunition to which the certificate relates must at all times (except in the circumstances set out in paragraph B below) be stored securely so as to prevent, so far as is reasonably practicable, access to the firearms or ammunition by an unauthorised persons B where a firearm or ammunition to which the certificate relates is in use or the holder of the certificate has the firearm with him for the purpose of cleaning, repairing or testing it or for some other purpose connected with its use, transfer, or sale, or the firearm or ammunition is in transit to or from a place in connection with its use or any such purpose, reasonable precautions must be taken for the safe custody of the firearm or the ammunition. Nowhere does it say that ammo MUST be kept seperate. So it's a fallacy to believe otherwise. Best practice yes, but having to do so to stay within the confines of the law, no. This is the problem with licensing officers making up their own rules to make law abiding gun ownership harder and harder. Where do you draw the line?
  18. Apologies have not been on in na while and there was little interest here. Gun now sold.
  19. Hello Chaps, I've only had this rifle for a couple of weeks, I bought it off airgunbbs member j dean as per this thread http://www.airgunbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=292414 It's one of the older ones serial is 027398 and is in very good condition. Blueing is excellent, small scuff on top of barrel, small scratch by pressure gauge on stock and the usual sratches to underside of silencer, no other marks of any real note. Rifle comes with silencer, original muzzle weight, filling adaptor, one magazine sling studs fitted, this is exactly what came with the rifle. I think paperwork may have been in clear envelope when it arrived and I threw it all away in excitement so don't have it now (sure thats not a problem) Reason for sale is that I bought this as a fill in until I could afford an HW100. Then Craigs rifle came up for sale at a price I couldn't refuse. Trouble is now I've weighed in over £700 on guns this month and my girlfriend is going to kick my head in I wouldn't be selling this if the HW100 hadn't come up. Price will be what I paid SOLDwill have to wait for funds to clear before sending, paypal I can accept but will have to add the 4% to cover costs. I'm working nights atm from 7pm - 4am so may not be able to respond quickly to emails or replies to thread. Many Thanks. Muddy.
  20. If it's new new then it's a fair price, looking on the main sites £389 seems to be going price.
