dunganick
I've been trying to do a bit more Shooting Photography this year and so far i've failed miserably, Ending up doing nothing but Football and Rugby. However Recently a previous client suggested that i may want to attend a local shoot he was on. So here are the days efforts. (apologies about the Watermarks, i know they detract... but thats sort of the point) 1. The Guns: 2. One of the guns struggling with the early morning sun 3. Sun may be the baine of a gun if its in their eyes, but the golden light makes for some nice pics 4. 5. There was an unwelcome guest. 6. But he seemed to have an all too familiar problem crossing fences. 7. Another gun battles the early morning sun light. 8. Late in the day the sun started to die off, much to the guns relief im sure. 9. 10. Standing was a little chilly waiting for drives. 11. Now for a few dogs (far more interesting) 12. 13. 14. 15. Not your typical gun dog. 16. 17. Best retrieve shot of the day. Note to anyone buying a gundog that might want photos of it in snow, dont buy a black dog.... it just doesnt work! 18. Clearing up after a drive. 19. A tad cold 20. One wet and cold but very happy springer

Toombsy
Those are proper Pro shots. Great use of depth of field, especially on 10 - good framing too. You ought to put together a portfolio and send some over to Robin Scott at Sporting Gun. He may well be one of the few magazine editors who's got a freelance budget left !? digger
One word Nick - brilliant. You deserve a career from your photographs, I agree you should contact the shooting press with regard to publishing them
deeksofdoom
Excellent photos there dunganick, however I have to correct you on your caption there for No. 15 for the GWP, should have read 'The ultimate Gundog' 15. Not your typical gun dog.
Red 9R
Fantastic photographs in challenging conditions Are you on the Talk togs forum as well?
dunganick
Thanks guys, some very kind comments indeed I've been in contact with a few magazines that i have submitted my work to but alot of them use existing stock images, so its a pretty small market unfortunately. Haha the GWP was the first i've ever seen on a shoot, it was actually a pet i think and not a working dog, but was certainly keen for its photo to be taken. Yes i'm on Talk Photography for my Motorsports stuff, Game shooting i'm certain would be met with mixed feelings on that forum.
