Ironic somehow that the original owner of these medals put his life on the line to allow petty minded camel humpers like this the freedom to spit on his possesions. We can all moan about this till the cows come home but lets face it-the british public have become too diluted and weak to do anything about it-we are the butt end of most euro jokes and will remain so until our sons grow some balls, stand up and do something about it-looking at todays youth i would'nt hold my breath.

LBC last week. Apparently the cost of the welfare state (benefit, housing allowance etc) exceeds the annual income tax take. I assumed that this included the NHS as well.

Anyways, I couldn't believe it, but apparently some Conservative MP did a freedom of information act request to get the figures.

So yes, if you pay income tax, you are paying......

EDIT

Here we go, >>read it<< and weep

It looks like it doesn't include the NHS. The cost of benefits alone exceeds the income tax take.

How the **** does that work / add up?

No wonder i had such a hard time getting any disability benefit when i was ill a year or so ago.. What would happen if the government went bankrupt?

Vehicle excise duty aka car tax.

Fuel duty, aka petrol tax.

Corporation tax.

Inheritance tax.

Value Added (ha,ha.) Tax.

To name but a very few.

What would happen if the government went bankrupt?

Morally it already is.

And yes, back on topic, get rid of people like this. UK, love it or leave it. End of.

Yep, and I pay all of those as well  .

I just couldn't believe that the government effectively uses all of our income tax.... on benefits.

So now you know - when some no good scrounger is in the paper for whatever, know that you are funding him.

I reckon the tories when they get in will slash it right down....

Read this and weep!

If you come from one of the European communities such as Poland, and set up home here but your wife and children are staying in Poland; you can claim working tax credits for yourself and your wife as you are likely on a low wage plus - you can claim child tax credits for your children back in Poland because they are your dependents. It doesn't seem to matter if your wife works or not because as far as I can make out, there is no cross border checking done to verify details - it is all taken on your word and your signed application form. Better still, if you are without work here and decide to move to say Australia, you can still claim child tax credits for your children.

This wonderful system works very well if you are not British - you just need to be willing to lie to get the dosh. If you are British and lie to get the money you will get done - believe me it will catch up with you at some point in the next ten years - probably much sooner than that.!

i wish to god there had been a `royal` or two there!! i grantee if there had been a commando presence this would have been summarily dealt with in a way we could all enjoy

a few years back a gang of drinking scumbags were harassing an old boy at a remembrance day march when my mate <45 commando> stepped in.. it was almost poetic how he dismantled them n in seconds too. then he n the old fella looked at each other and saluted, and i saw the old guy was wearing a royal marine tie

I went into the job centre just over year ago on crutches because of something that had happened to my knee. I was told that disability benefit is now means tested for new applicants. I haven't worked since. If you are over 60, you can't register as available for work and Pension Credit is also means tested.

YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHIN' YET!
