The other truck I pulled out was owned by M&S. The driver took my address to see if he can get them to send me a few goodies.

SNAP, M&S artic lorry blocked the A3 this morning closing it, made my way up the few hundred meters of cars, pull in front of him and the copper took one look at my 110 and laughed. 2 mins later all conected up and pulled him the 3/4 mile up the hill. He took my name address etc and said i would get a very nice 'Thank You' in the post. :good:

Have a look at this link, post # 73. One chap had a whale of a time clearing a road in Scotland.

My hat goes off to him, cracking effort. He makes a few very good points about how people should take more responsibility for themself and their vehicles! If people do go out in this weather please know where your tow point is and have a warm jacket and hat in your car, van etc. :good:

Good on ya, :good:

Im sure you will get some kind of thank you from them, as each trailer (if it was loaded) would have had 20k+ worth of goods on board

Was out towing yesterday. The 90 just effortlessly drags cars (which includes a woman who left her handbrake on) over a hill

were you in low range?

My rear diff went today in the 90 :bye2:

What's upsetting is that I was just driving along the road and this almighty bang happened, followed by a grinding noise. :(

Managed to hobble back with the diff lock engaged, but it's looking like a costly Christmas

Send the bill to the woman who left her handbrake on

No, I didn't drop it into low range. It was a ford focus, so I thought it'd be fine.

Do you really think that's the cause?! I'm kicking myself if it is.

I wont have helped and may have just pushed the diff over the edge.

might be worth asking about fitting a cross axle lock if your having the diff tripped and exchanged (standar dlandy diff lock is a transfer box lock not an axle lock)

I've got a lad from another forum coming to swap the diff for a new one. Problem is that to get one at short notice, it'll be £150 for the diff

I'll ask the local Landy garage down the road, as they're usually not bad for parts.

Thanks though :good:
