huffhuff
Hi guys, A wasp nest has appeared overnight in the garden. It's in the hedge, a bout 2 foot off the floor. Easily accessible. The stupid dog has already been stung once. What's the best way to deal with it? Cheers Ben

DSPUK
Buy one of those wasp sprays that send a jet of foamy stuff and cover the nest with it then run like hell - should kill them. dave

njc110381
Last time I had a nest I taped a Black Panther bird banger to a long thin bean cane with some tape around it at a length that was half the width of the nest. Lit it, pushed it in to the depth of the tape (when you're rushing the marker helps you to get it in the middle of the nest) and legged it. No more wasp nest, and it didn't damage the hedge like wasp spray can. It won't kill all the wasps but once the queen is dead and there's that much damage they tend to give up and go away. DSPUK
So many weird and wonderful replies -- There is a wasp produce on market quite cheap and it sprays a jet of foam a good 5yrds (4507mm to those under 40)- just spray all over nest and done. huffhuff
Thanks for the replies guys. I tried two supermarkets last night and neither had anything stronger than wasp deodorant! My good farmer friend has some kind of illegal powder that i'll pick up tonight! I'll video in case I die!
al4x
ant powder does them as well do it late evening so they bring it in as they come home, tends to get the whole lot in one go.
DSPUK
I bet that illegal powder is illegal so I know you won't use it. dave

huffhuff
Well of course I won't use that. My friend suggested it, and I said no. I am a law abiding citizen! I promptly left him, went to the Police Station and reported him for possession of an illegal substance.
