gsm1968
Wasnt there some anti terrorist thing bought in about taking picks of the old bill A lot of the ASU's are registered charities and have websites full of pic's. And people who present them with large donations have their pic's taken with the crew etc. They are all only google search away. The one's they don't want you to photograph are a bit more discrete. Dirty Harry
Gsm1968, The police air support units are not charities they are funded by the police. Air ambulances are charities and deserve all the money they can get. Some of the police helicopters are shared with air ambulances like Wiltshire police/air ambulance. Most police have websites for their helicopters and photographing them is not an issue. Harry

al4x
we get it regularly on driven days think they stop to watch on their way back as we aren't too far from where the local one is based. Does make you wonder whether to leave the bird that inevitably comes over or take the shot and hope they are high enough

kent
good use of public money there, keeping one of those in the air aint cheap that trip might have cost the monthly salary of one of thier mates who will be getting notice of redundancy. Nice to know they are keeping an eye on all those photographers

JR1960
well they need to check these things out, I mean the country is awash with terrorist cells training with a cammo net and a 12 bore in a field in the middle of nowhere........for God's sake it could have been a white toy tiger!!!!!!
Richie10
Waste of money. I was circled in the front garden with my Dad cutting plywood for 10 minutes, probably trying to find out if it was illegal to use a Jigsaw in a public place. 30-6
Funny thing i had one hover nearby watching me last Sunday, he had a white front light on as well i noticed. Watched me for about 10 - 15 minutes, then went away, then came back and flew over. I had a hide set up right in the middle of a cut rape field and the car about 200 yds away, so was not exactly "hiding". Does put you off your stride though for a while, like mentioned you don't feel right when you swing through it, no matter how far away it is. Don,t know if he was called or just nosing.
