on average im shooting better than 2:1. some days im doing 170 birds for 200 carts and other im doing 20 birds for 50 carts. on the last 1000 carts i shot 700 birds so happy with that but as soon as the bird numbers start to drop my ratio will change, it did last year.hehe

I would be in the 1 bird per 2 cartridge group, but it depends on so much. I mean if you are getting the birds on a flightline the shooting can be quite testing so the ratio will be increased and other days when they are virtually commiting suicide I would be disappointed with 1:2. Sure as long as you get a half decent bag, your doing a job for the farmer and you have fun it doesn't matter what your ratio is. :good:

Decoying;

An average of 2-1 for me. Some days more some less, depends on the birds, weather, land etc.

If I only shot decoying birds I wouldnt miss much at all. I also find that quite boring. I like to test myself and shoot high/ long birds, again every day is different, my days always seem to start off at a 100% kill rate, then my shooting will go to rat **** for an hour then it sorts it self out :rolleyes:

I normally average at better than 2 for 1 but there are a lot of variables I can remember shooting 42 birds for 48 of the top of my head ,but on a bad day that goes out the window ! I changed gun around 18 months ago though and it has taken me until recentley to get back to around the 2-1 or less ratio
