Hear about the Turkish shopkeepers who actually chased the gangs off their streets ? Their family network has not broken down yet , neither has their sense of community hence they have the strength to stand up for what is right . lesson to be learnt off them I think .

Say what you like about the Turks, but they take absolutely no bullpoo whatsoever.

There was a chap who ran a kebab shop in my local high street who was a former Turkish Para who did the whole invasion of Cyprus in '74 etc etc.

Last I heard of him was that he did a runner back to Cyprus after taking one of those donner kebab swords to a load of skinheads put his shop window through.

Attenuated energy projectiles (the cuddly new name for plastic baton rounds), from about 15 paces into their smug hoody clad grinners. Or their ball bags. Mallinois attack dogs aimed at their nads, tazers, CS, mounted baton charges. Whatever it takes. I think this is one of those rare occasions when other than the Shama Chakrabattis of this world, the vast majority of people want the police to use whatever force it takes to clear the streets of these vermin. I hope the police crack some heads tonight.

This needs to be firmly put down now. Being soft with rioters is totally counter productive but thats hardly news after the last three nights.

What ever happened to the army, for Christ's sake get them in there and show them a bit of the public's idea of law enforcement.

We should not have to see this anarchy on our streets by those who belong behind bars.

Everyone I have talked to is really hostile to the pathetic police response.

i was talking to a Met policeman who was there last night and was getting ready to go back in tonight. He said the men were keen to have a go but the high ups are keeping them back all the time at beyond arms reach, too frightened after the Tomlinson case to have pictures of police hitting kids going out on the TV. Too many cameras about, they are walking on eggshells.

I think they have got it wrong, the public would see it differently this time.

Some may say, quite sadly, that Common Law, sec 117 pace, S3 Crminal law Act and the good old ECHR applies all the time-Funny how the swing'ometer goes from heavy handed to cops not dishing out some pain.

Those ransacking savages have rights.

'The vast majority' wont be called as character references when an officer is accused of overstepping the mark of reasonable force.

Personally, 00 buckshot should be applied liberally.

I dont recall the riot squads showing this much restraint at the pro-fieldsports march that turned nasty.

Similairly, I recollect being spat at by chap wearing moleskin trousers and being referred as a 'charlie, uniform, november etc by fellows in Barbour jackets-

Hardly sporting!

When i was 17 ish I worked for a great turkish guy (second job for me, he was ex milatary) really treated me well etc etc, kebab\pizza shop and generally nice guy and great customers until some ****** idiots came in one night and started making threats. He asked them if they were serious from what I remember and they were giving it the we are well hard etc, you shouldn't be here at which point he pulled a gun out from under the counter, i did one but the 2 guys ****** themselves on the spot and were never seen again.

I really miss the guy, not saying what he did was right but no richard head in town ever went there again.

I really don't care what colour, religion, brand, gang the rioters are from, they need to be treated the same and treated hard. Many will have been born in the UK but don't consider themselves English as they choose not to.

They all claim they don't have anything. They were provided with primary and secondary education at the cost of the taxpayer and that would have given them the opportunity to progress and get a job etc..... except most of them couldn't be ***** going to school and can't be ***** looking for work as it's too much like hard work. If you want something better get of your **** and work for it.

Soapbox off

Jon.

Don't talk to me about 'antis'

My son(9) and I(more than 9) were verbally abused at Belle Vue last Sat night.

GF dragged me away whilst I was snarling.

The tales that I could tell them about greyhounds, it would make them wish their mommies had never met their daddies.

The summer of riots is not over yet!

C'mon police, do your stuff.

Looks like it's predominantly white trash in Salford and Manchester. All shaved heads and slags in leggings

Can't understand how the government can get the public opinion so wrong. We don't want community policing, we want to see a ******* body count :sly:

Well, I'm thinking of joining the SC's and doing my bit.

Just so long as they give me huge truncheon, some pepper spay and a CS gas gun/flame thrower.

Someone needs to 'burn' these rioters

most of the rioters look burnt already :yp:

Funny how most of 'Boris's' broom gang ready to clean the place up were 'efnic english' - can I say that
