Two of my favourite films are probably responsible for more quotes than pretty much any other films...

Withnail and I and Full Metal Jacket

Uncle Monty "I can never touch meat until it's cooked. As a youth I used to weep in butcher's shops."

Marwood reading sign "Here. Hare. Here."

The majority of FMJ quotes would contravene forum rules ;)

Ash, from Evil Dead 3 AoD. Nearly every damned word from the epic masterpiece. :)

But the better ones...

Ash : "All right, you primitive screw-heads, listen up! See this? This... is my boomstick! - [continuing nonchalantly] - It's a twelve-gauge, double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt-blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right... shop smart: shop S-Mart... You got that?"

Ash : "Good. Bad. I'm the guy with the gun"

Ash : "Yo she-bitch..(sticks another 2 shells in)...let's dance"

The film "Murder by Death"

Peter Sellers playing Chinese detective Wang with his son as sidekick.

A freshly murdered body laying on the floor.

Indicating the body Peter Sellers says to his son.

Sellers "Ok number one son, clean this mess up"

Son "Honourable Father, why do I have to do all the dirty work"?

Sellers "Cos your mother not here to do it" !!

Lots from Clouseau in the Pink Panther films including my favourite

Clouseau: Do you have a license?

Beggar: What?

Clouseau: City ordinance 147-B prohibits the playing of any musical instrument in a public place for the purpose of commercial enterprize without a proper license.

Beggar: I don't understand.

Clouseau: It is against the leu for you to play your musical instrument.

Beggar: Leu?

Clouseau: What?

Beggar: You say, it's against the leu?

Clouseau: Yes. Unless you have a proper license.

Beggar: What kind of license?

Clouseau: A license that permits the playing of any musical instrument in a public place for the purpose of commercial enterprize.

Beggar: Commercial enterprize?

Clouseau: Yes. You play that thing and people give you the muhnay.

Beggar: People give the monkey the money. Clouseau: It is the same. Beggar: Oh, no. I am a musician and the monkey is a businessman. He doesn't tell me what to play, and I don't tel him what to do with his money. One day I came home and I found him sitting in my living room. I let him stay, but he pays for his own room and board.

Clouseau: Then the minkey's breaking the leu.

Beggar: But he doesn't play any musical instrument.

Clouseau: City ordinance 132-R prohibits the begging.

Beggar: How do you know so much about city ordinances?

Clouseau: What sort of stupid question is that? Are you blind?

Beggar: Yes.

"What we got here is failure to communicate...Some men you just can't reach...." Cool Hand Luke.

"Protection from what.. Ze Germans" Snatch

"Guns for show... Knifes for a pro" Lock Stock.

The quotes from Guy Ritchie films are endless and I confess to trying to use at least one everyday

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those ... moments will be lost in time, like tears...in rain. Time to die.

Roy Batty (Bladerunner) makes more sense while watching

Anton Chigurh: You need to call it. I can't call it for you. It wouldn't be fair.

Gas Station Proprietor: I didn't put nothin' up.

Anton Chigurh: Yes, you did. You've been putting it up your whole life you just didn't know it. You know what date is on this coin?

Gas Station Proprietor: No.

Anton Chigurh: 1958. It's been traveling twenty-two years to get here. And now it's here. And it's either heads or tails. And you have to say. Call it.

and loads more from No Country for Old Men :good:
