Good shooting Cat, and a great report :good:

I'll be going tomorrow, bright and early, with Anni, Timps, Canthitathing and Azzurri and his mate

Looking forward to it, in spite of the company <_<

Paulos was coming too, but he's bottled it because he's a mincer...... :P

I'm going tonight and meeting Azzurri and a few of the Essex mafia, Mungler, ME, and the artist formerly known as MC. I think I'll stick to orange all night......

I popped along today, some interesting targets especially on the red course. The black course eased you in nicely, but definitely bring take your game face as there are some quick simo pairs and quite a few some way off. Lovely setting though to shoot at, make sure you take food/water to keep the stamina up because there is some distance involved.

Neville seems relatively pleased, evidently got a bit wet yesterday packing up.

Final scores on the doors from PW shots at the Essex Masters yesterday :

Azzurri - 182 :good: Leading AA Class at the moment. Great shooting G

Chard - 160 :sly: That was my target. It's almost like my brain switched off as soon as I reached it <_<

Timps - 152ish :good: 83 on the Black course, had a bit of a mare on the Red one

Canthitathing - 148 :good: This went from 150 to 149 to 148  Any advance on 148?

Anni - 131 :good: Bad do on the Black course with a 682, borrowed Timps's semi auto for the Red course and looked much more at home.

Great shoot as always. Weather was great, which was a relief, as the forecast wasn't.

I shot an OK 83 on the Black course. I traditionally collapse in the afternoon at this event, as I don't seem to have the mental capacity or stamina for an all day 200 bird shoot, but I wasn't quite so bad this year. I did collapse, but not till the last few stands in the afternoon, which I shot very badly. I couldn't seem to swing the gun properly any more and my eyes had had enough

160 was my best score at the Masters in the 4 years I've shot it, so I suppose I'm going in the right direction. I think the biggest single thing I could do to improve at this event would be to get fitter :hmm:

Some very tasty targets. I was pleased to have just dropped one on the Black course stand that defeated Mr Digweed, but unfortunately, couldn't match his performance on the rest of the course

Superb organisation, no trap breakdowns, no delays. Refs were superb, with no exceptions. This is how comps should be run.

Got everything crossed for Azzurri, hope you keep up there chap, it was a great performance.

Was a pleasure to meet Sipe-ist off the forum, albeit briefly, while we were waiting around at the Pool Shoot. Seemed a top bloke, hope you shot well, fella

Good luck to MC, Taz, 300-Watt Bob and co, who are shooting today :good:

Some great scores there.

Well done chaps. :good:

Work and apathy knocked it on the head for me this year, and the fact that I haven't shot at a clay since last years NvS shoot, although I expect I'd have still got 183

Good luck to the other PW members and ex members shooting today/tomorrow :good:

It was a long old day, 4 am start, 4 hour drive then a 200 bird shoot.

But it is definitely worth it as it has to be one of the best organised/enjoyable shoots I shoot.

As usual I put my all into the first 100 then after the afternoon break I seem mentally drained and just go through the motions unable to focus on what I need to do.

This year was no exception, 83 was 2 down from my last year’s start but my collapse was nowhere near as bad so I am going in the right direction.

I was happy how I shot the first and last stands on the red course and that was it.

I either got a 151 or 152 depending on whether you counted the zeros or added the numbers as one of the stands on the red course did not add up on my card.

It was a cracking squad to shoot with (chard excepted) I thought Auzzri was on for a 92 on the black course, he would have got it if he could shoot DTL on the last stand ( he needs to know the answer about the high gun hold landyboy) :hmm: .

Nice to meet Sipe-ist at the pool shoot where I kicked chards *** ..... just saying

Thanks to Anni for giving me some 36g carts which I shot said pool shoot with, you owe me a new shoulder and while we are at it gun cleaning fees for my auto..... True story <_<

For those of you that have never been to this event give it a go, its not registered so anyone can enter, its a brilliant shoot and you get a go in a Range Rover at the end. :good:

Auzzri? Who's he? :P

You got 78 or 79 on the first course last year cockstain, I looked it up.

I think you'd said you were on for an 85 but you made a total harris of the rabbit stand and ended up on 79.

True story. So you did better this year.
