wildfowler.250
What would you do instead? Sometimes I wonder if I should pack it in but I honestly don't know what could replace it for me! A late night shooting isn't exactly as sociable as a night on the town! Think if I packed it in I would try photography What about everyone else?
Blunderbuss
I had a 12 year break from shooting and seriously regret it. I won't willingly be giving it up again. No chance
Scully
Voluntarily giving up isn't something I've ever considered.

Blunderbust
Yep if I had to, I would just spend my shooting time and money on a decent boat and kit for getting out on the sea. However hopefully such an unthinkable occurence will never happen.
houlsby
I'd probably go back to cars/bikes, and falling out with the missis.. She knows shooting chills me out after a crazy week at work, and it's 100% safer than a superbike.. So as long as I don't take the **** she doesn't get on at me. (no dear. I diddnt come in at 630 sunday morning, it must have been a dream....)
bruno22rf
houlsby-Bin shooting for over 35 years and riding superbikes for 20-must be lucky.
ack-ack
I'm at my chuffing wits end with both shooting and fishing. I don't mind the odd blank but this season has been so **** that I'm sick and tired of wasting my time. I just sit there getting anxious as I know I could be doing something more productive. I tend to just do things with garaunteed results now like shrimping or clamming. I'm so hacked off with the lack of sport it's not true. I couldn't even bag up at Bewl on an any method ticket!! I felt like launching my kit over the side and going down the pub. It's got to the point where I've got such a hang up about yet another dissappointment I'd rather not even bother. Missing the point completely I know but can't seem to get out of my negative state of mind. What would I rather do instead? Fatcatsplat
Well, I'm too old, fat and knackered to go back to rugby, can't/won't play golf and am a useless so and so in the garden, so..........better not give up the shooting then!! Actually, i like a bit of fluff chucking every now and then and as has been said earlier, having a mosey round with a camera can be just as rewarding. Think i might start collecting interesting washing up liquid bottles...
Brown Sauce
Think I'd rekindle my love of scuba diving, just as expensive and equally dangerous. Still have a couple of wetsuits, mask, snorkel and fins, sold the rest to finance shooting. Only thing is, everytime I get in the water I hear, da da........da da.....dada dada dadaderrrrrrr Edited September 4, 2012 by Brown Sauce
Marc Z
probably bowhunting, where legal of course I couldn't imagine a life without hunting of some description. Even if it turned into spear fishing at the Asda fish counter.

JDog
Not one even to contemplate. I know that when I am about to die I will never regret the amount of shooting I have had. At the moment I am out four days a week, some good some bad in terms of the bag but all enjoyable.
bullet boy
I will never ever give up Shooting cos its in my blood!! My other hobby is Mountain Biking so spend a bit of time on my Bikes.
kent
There have been times i have fished more and times were i have shot more. If i were to loose shooting and guns for whatever reason i would still need an excuse to get out productively into the same areas with real purpose so i might just get into the gundogs more or start falconary if i had the time to commit. I would love to hunt with a pair of pointers and a birds of prey. I still fish but i feel you need that other leg to things when it becomes monotonous
