NIGHT SEARCHER
97 2.8 TD SHOGUN LWB MANUAL. SHORT RUNS+OFF ROAD==22 23 MPG. LONGER RUNS A ROADS== 28 29 MPG. MOTORWAYS 60 MPH==== 32 33 MPG. THERE ARE VERY FEW 4X4s THAT WILL GIVE YOU GOOD MPG. ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE HAD WAS AN OLD DISCO 300 SERIES. IT DID 33 34 MPG OFF ROAD AND CLOSE TO 40 MPG ON MOTORWAYS AT 60 MPH. IT WAS A ONE OFF I HAVE HAD A FEW DISCOS SINCE AND THEY HAVEN`T COME CLOSE TO THAT SORT OF MPG.
joknob
qashqai 1.5 diesel, from grimsby to whitby and back sticking to limits with 3 adults and child returned 61 mpg.about norm unless you,ve a howler of a head wind.when driving through 40 and 50 limits it can go up to 70 mpg.many times ive driven back from scotland at 75 and 80ish and it still does 58 mpg.craig
Mike737
V8 Disco 2 auto with AT2s. Dread to think what the consumption is, about 300 miles per tank. Whereas my med roof, mwb Transit consistently returns 38mpg, and the air-con runs all year round to prevent condensation during winter otherwise it steams up as soon as you breathe. But I only do about 5,000 miles a year in the Disco, as opposed to about 25,000 in the tranny. Mike.
AlistairB
LR Discovery 3, OBC currently shows 30.8 on OE tyres, in reality when i've done a fuel consumption check, it comes in 2-3 mpg under the OBC so i'd guess about 28-29mpg. scobydog
Nissan Patrol 2.8 td se, @ 19 around town and 28 ish on a run doing 60, about 23/24 mpg doing 75-80. The vehicle runs much smoother at 75 than at any other speed, don't know what it does in 4wd on the fields, most of my off road is in Wales and very steep and bumpy so just watch the needle drop but does what it says on the tin. Hornet 6
Jimny, around town and rabbit shooting on cut hay fields I'm getting 32mpg or about 250 miles to a tank. Yesterday 200 miles on motorway at a steady 55mph used just on half a tank, quite impressed with that. Neil.
