WGD
Mmmmm, sounds like a bad career move.... from a sporting perspective anyway.
Gunnerbob
Oh dear.....he was a force to be reckoned with on the Yamaha, doubt it will be the same on a Ducati !
-Mongrel-
You can only assume that there wasn't a sensible Yamaha deal on the table and he's been forced to take the best of the remaining options. My heart tells me it's a bad move, my gut tells me its a bad move, I just hope he proves me wrong on all counts and can actually ride the bike that nobody else can! Walker56
The only one who could ride the Ducati was stoner, Just hope cal doesn't ride beyond the bikes capabilities and get hurt .
Dunkield
Just as he was showing real promise (apart from those awful starts) on the Yamaha. As has been said it has disaster written all over it, but lets hope we are all wrong and gets to grips with it.
Paul taylor
Oh dear was really hoping this wouldn't happen, cal is fantastic but will be amazed if he does anything other than hurt himself and his carer on a Ducati! Don't know where else he would go though, yam stuck with Rossi/Lorenzo Honda have their golden boys and Suzuki no certainty yet so staying at Tech3 only real option. Mikaveli
The Ducati prototype was showing some promise, so maybe they've got something up their sleeve... ...but, in all likelyhood, Cal's gonna become a wealthy also-ran for the prime of his career. At least he'll have a good reason to grumble now.
Malik
If rossi couldnt make it work, i doubt cal can
shaun4860
Apparently next years Tech 3 riders were going to be Bradly Smith and Espargarro No seat for Cal Was talk of a third factory Yamaha but guess it never happened
walshie
IMO that'll be the end of his career.

Dunkield
By the looks of it he had no other real choice, and with the Audi connection maybe they will be able to sort the Ducati out?
old rooster
Hmmm, all interesting conjecture. Can't see that Cal would have turned down a decent Yamaha seat and I'm sure his current team would see him as a very decent rider to try and retain?. Not sure they are all getting along too well in that team but who knows what the politics are behind it all. Rossi is a pretty good development rider but they just didn't seem able to get the Ducati right for him, I really do believe that the tragic Simoncelli accident knocked Rossi back for the rest of the season. Ducati have a tiny race budget and facilities in comparison with the likes of Honda and Yamaha but when Stoner was on the case he got them some cracking results. I did think that Dovi might have got to grips with it but that hasn't happened either. We will have to hope that Cal and Ducati can put a package together that will be competitive, I'm sure they won't be sitting on their hands over the winter months. wickedwickedmotox
Cal has moved there for a reputed 7mil over 3 years, he wanted to stay with tech 3 on he condition he would get a factory ride and with his form why not? Yamaha offered no guarantee of a factory ride. Ducati what can i say!!!!! well the only person who has been able to conquer the duke was stoner and perhaps troy bayliss, both riders have a very loose riding style and much the same as Cal Crutchlow he is very wide open wild and ragged which by all accounts is what is needed for the duke oh and some big balls which we know he has! The latest crop of riders that have been through the bike since no 27 have all been far to smooth and clincal to be riding that bike especially no 46! AlistairB
I dont think he had much choice, Yamaha and Honda factory seats are tied up for at least 2 years. Now Ducati are owned by Audi, and Audi have spent a year realising that the current bike is fundamentally flawed, i expect some good things to come from them, maybe not next season, but certainly the season after that. A lot of the Ducati old guard have or are being ousted and a lot of new blood coming in, i think it could be quite interesting for Cal. With Rossi, they just added bits to the bike without really understanding the impact of doing it, hence it never worked as a 'package'. I think the lesson they've learnt which will benefit Cal is that if Rossi cant even ride it well, no one can so it has to change completely. mickyh
Stoner showed everyone else what can be done on a Ducati,he's no God. So I'm behind Karl on this one. I was in Catalunya last month watching live for 3 days when Karl threw it away in front of me at the 'Flipflop' Practise and qualifying,my money was on Karl, shame he fell off,as did lots of others because of poor grip. Remember there are not a lot of 'Aliens' but Karl is one of them.No doubt. Looking forward to next season already. We are booking Misano Simoncelli circuit as soon as the dates are out ! blackbird
come on guys we all know what the ducati has been over the last few years but a brit on a full works bike have some faith in him and his ability to turn them round I have got all the faith in the world with Cal, but NO faith at all in Ducati just look at the long line of riders that have failed miserably on that bike

old rooster
Lets hope that all you negative guys are proved as wrong as those who never thought Marquez could cut it in the premier class! They said he wouldn't be able to manage on worn tyres and would be completely out of his depth, seems to have proved them all wrong so far? ))) Maybe Ducati will put a decent package together for next season
