Gun cabinet ready, drinks and biscuits. Greater Manchester do seem very efficient and friendly. Any tips...? Stock up on Jaffa Cakes, coffee and Vaseline. Alternately, you could just stick the kettle on and be yourself (unless you have a particular fondness for vaseline).

Yellow Bear
Where is Arthur? Cheadle Hulme - top of village past station -" A R Branthwaite" - just avoid the robber on the A6
Saffa
I'm looking for a starter gun, and with time, experience and savings i will make an informed choice and purchase a "proper" gun. It doesn't seem that Cheshire Gunroom or A Branthwaite gunsmiths have a good selection of that type of gun. I do go up into North Yorkshire regularly and Gilsan Sports in Richmond can expect a visit again, and it seems that R Bamford Guns in Chorley has a good selection. Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated. Cheadle Hulme - top of village past station -" A R Branthwaite" - just avoid the robber on the A6 i know exactly, does he have more guns than that on the website? Will pop in there this week, i only live a mile from there. I've heard quite a few stories about the one on the A6.
Yellow Bear
Branthwaite has a reasonable selection for a small shop (does not seem to list cheaper guns as I think folks will not travel far to see them) - If they are in a reasonable mood they are most helpful - but like most RFDs can be grumpy at times. Another option is McEvoy's at Standish, or Malmo at Lancaster - both very helpful. I find Bamfords a little stand-offish if you're not spending mega bucks on the occasions I have made the trip. If you are only a mile from AB you must be in Cheadle Hulme rather than Cheadle itself.
