billytheghillie
of on hols in December to Tenerife, where is the best place to get me euros? cheers
aris
I found the best rate here: http://travelmoney.moneysavingexpert.com/ In the end I used 'best foreign exchange.com'. You have to jump through some hoops with regards to ID, but they delivered as advertised.
NickS
I use Travelex but you have to be sure to order in advance if you want the best rates. Unless you are talking big numbers, the difference between the best and worst is actually only a few pounds. Nick

Gabrielcosmin.dinu
Post office were the ones giving the best rates a while ago but I did find good rates at Barclays also. With the Post Office you get some deals , buy 200 or more euros for a better exchange rate or things like that.

dazbrit
Co-op travel are usually the best as good a rate as buying on-line.
88b
I've used Sainsbury's the last few times, you get a better rate with a Nectar card, I've always found the Post Office expensive every time I've tried, but I do have a Post Office credit card to use abroad as they give a reasonable exchange rate and no 2.75 or 3% charges
Cranfield
Unless you are changing tens of thousands, the Post Office consistently give better deals than the others.
rimfire4969
I have used Thomas Exchange when I have had a need dollars normally usually an extra 3 or 4 cents per pound. Unless you are changing a large amount it doesn't make a huge difference.

sandspider
off on hols in December to Tenerife, where is the best place to get me euros? cheers Going in November! I tend to use the link that Aris posted, then I pre-book with Moneycorp at the airport - convenient, and only a quid or two more expensive than the best rate anyway. Bry-M
Get a halifax clarity credit card. No fee for using it abroad and it gives the best exchange rate there is! It's mastercard so pretty much everywhere accepts it. I've used mine in tenerife and America so far, had no problems at all!
