RC Sipe

Hi all just picked up 250 of these in 32grm 5s in fibre

just wondering if anyone had tried or using these at the minute.

i was going to go for the blackgolds again but was tempted by these of the info i heard about them

Ive thought about trying these too but only ever seen yellow ones, which puts me off as have a 20 bore also. Meant to be hard hitting.

I used to use them a fair bit. Very good, top line shell. Nowadays I don't use a yellow 12g cartridge so stopped buying them because I use two 20 bores (not as the same time ) and everything I stuff in these guns is erh, yellow.

Excellent cart and prefer them to black gold as less recoil and better performances last lot were a green case

Fibre wad silver case

Plastic wad yellow they have just changed them to green to cover the 20 bore issue

Found them very good in my guns

They also make a sipe 20 bore shell in yellow also very good

And it seems green now realy thought that rc had worked it out

Yellow easier to find in grass when tidying up

good cartridge, i found the fibre left the barrels dirty. but seemed a hard hitting cartridge.

Really good cartridge. Although a couple of weeks ago I put a 20 bore shell in the 12 bore semi auto by accident. Happened to check the gun whilst crossing a fence so no damage. Glad to say the new ones I've got are green!

Only the Italians could change the twenty bore to green just to be different.

 

Foolish they should have followed the rest and changed the 12 bore case to green and gained more sales.

the fibre wad are all sliver , I use these all the time , great cart with a half or three quarter choke , crows love em !!

Exactly. Using 12 bore sipes,(green) express 20 bores (yellow) from now on.

Have been using these for game ( 32grm 5's, fibre in a silver case) for the last three shoot days as I couldn't get High Pheasant from my usual source at the time. Good, hard hitting cartridge.

Good, I can't understand why anyone would produce 12 bore carts in yellow these days, for obvious reasons. I've used the 20 bore sipe and they were very good.

i used these on saturday didnt have the best pegs this time round but hit a couple of nice birds in the srong wind and they were well hit stone dead and at good ranges aswell, im out this friday so hoping to fire a few more and connect abit better this time

but i`d use the larger shotsize still in the sipe. they are .5 shotsize bigger.

 

if you were getting the english equivalent you`d need to increase your shotsize selection. ie italian 5 is actually a 4.5

Never felt the need to try black gold. Sipes work very well. Had been using express previously.

ive just used all my black golds up in 32g 5s and thats why i got these sipes.

i know theres loads of hype with the black gold and they are expensive but i guess you get what you pay for and ive never had any trouble and find them a cracking shell the black golds good clean kills at good ranges.

just hope i get as good results out of the sipes

Got given a slab of black gold 32g size 6 tonight. Thinking of trading them in for sipe 32g 5's as I feel shot size 6 is too small for decent high pheasant.what are your thoughts ?

6 shot is ok generally if you use a lot of choke should not cause you any probs unless they are over 40 yards or more. personally I prefer 5 shot at distance and a lot of choke. The sipe 5 shot are great squibs, 32gram plas wads. I have killed some crackers over the years using them. I also liked Eley VIP's 5 shot when they were in the green and gold cases I used them for years. The new version in the black case is just not what it used to be. So now I am back on the Sipe by RC and they are in green cases. Out of my 32" sporter 3/4 and 3/4 choke they do a wonderful job. I believe the Sipe 5 shot is a uk 4.5 shot so you can get 6 shot which should be uk 5.5 shot also in fibre wads. about £260 ish per thou @ the mo. Try em out really good.
