paul1966
luckily it went between the driver and passenger otherwise i'm sure there would have been more than one fatality.
spandit
Probably cheaper than amassing the clobber required to shot one...
team tractor
How I just can't see how it's gone through a screen . As said already the driver is so lucky for that Togo through the centre of the screen. The splattering on the seat it quiet funny
clakk
if he.s on the autobahn doing laldly licks itl go through .dont forget he can do 170mph and its legal so if the peasants doing 50 its a combined impact over 200mph and that pheasant is going in.ive been doing 120 down the e40 well pleased n these badass porsches will flash u out the way doing 150 plus .i guess fritzes pants needed changing afterwards
wymberley
As a retired rigger who spent a lot of time repairing aircraft bird-strike damage, clakk has got it about right and nearer his top end I'd say - much faster and that splatter would have been liquidiized. Once had an owl extruded between the top of a Jaguar front screen and the front of the canopy at 450 knots with, unbelievably, no real damage - but the mess!!? I notice he didn't drive to the garage! Imperfection
I hit a duck once in a Transit doing around 70 and although the winscreen held-it went like a balloon on the inside with only the laminating layer holding everything together. The duck wasnt even edible afterwards due to being smashed to pieces internally. Tel Time
saw this once when i used to fit windscreens, old range rover on the a1, tankin it, hit the pheasant just where the roof has that little lip and the screen, chap in the back was taken to hatfield hospital to have bits of bone removed from his face, left a perfect outline of him on the back seat! Drongo
I picked a pheasant of a ladies lap after it went through the screen of her Fiat Multipla (the stupid looking thing with the high lights) She couldn't have been going more than 50-60 at time of impact, the pheasant came out of the hedge... Surprised it went though, but not a as surprised as the lady with the mouth full of feathers...
