docholiday
This one went 39 lbs and is the biggest we have had on our boat, and only the second one over 30 lbs only downside s that it was my fishing partner that caught it not me, still got a bit exciting when it hit the surface. lots of gibbering and jelly knees as we tried to get it into the net. docholiday
We have been out about 12 times this year and thats the first we have caught, plenty of whiting and conger though, back in the 80's we used to regularly catch 3 -5 a trip

adam f
Nice cod. My best went 32lb from the same area a few years ago. The last few years I've not bothered steaming over from Poole, it's been too patchy and I don't consider it worth the fuel and average of a fish every 3 trips to get one. We've had a few up our end, plus some cracking whiting fishing. Just need a few more gaps in this wind!
shoot and be safe
Nice fish I have only ever caught one, up in the Orkney Isles. We were fishing for mackerel as bait for the creel boats and drifted out a little further than normal, I have to say I **** myself when it broke the surface, all I remember seeing was a huge head.
