Subaru_sti5
Hi guys just wondered if anyone has any experience with any MTC scopes and are they any good? Thanks
keg
I've got a viper on my .22 rimmie and it's brilliant, bought it off a mate second hand.
pigeonblasterian
Have a Genesis scope on 22lr and 17hmr.Find them very good.
wymberley
I have a Viking and a Genesis, LR and HMR respectively. Good kit and value for money. All they need to do now is do the Genesis with a simple Duplex or similar as at the moment they all have more lines than my mother in law's face. Whereas she's earned hers, theirs are mostly pointless.
steve_b_wales
I bought the 'Genesis' and found it to be a superb scope. It's the top of their range and the dearest, but well worth the money. Other MTC scopes are also excellent, and the customer sales service is very good. cleaner4hire
I've had a viper and mamba and hated both of them. I cant live with the white out in bright light and low light and they seem to be very fussy with eye position.
pmiddy
I have a genesis on my .22lr and I was that impressed I got one for my .17 hmr . Not tried any other so I can't comment but if the build quality and the clear glass is as good as the genesis you won't be disappointed if you purchase one Paul
Oli383
I have had a Mamba light on my R10 for 3 years, never let me down, extremely clear and light. Holds is zero and everything is really smooth operation on it. Highly recommended. ATB Oli
bullet boy
Got the MTC Viper Connect scope on my Daystate Air Ranger rifle. The Connect is meant to be used with recoilless rifles as there's no eye relief when looking the through the scope.Your eye is positioned right up against the eyepiece of the scope but what an outstanding scope this is!Brilliant! bicykillgaz
When I bought my .22hornet it came with a viper 4-16x50 it seemed fairly heavy and a few to many fiddly bit. Very clear scope though but like wymberley I found the reticle a little busy, I'd prefer standard mil-dots or duplex.
Shropshire_Lad
I've had a viper and mamba and hated both of them. I cant live with the white out in bright light and low light and they seem to be very fussy with eye position. I have had the 4-16x50 viper on my HMR for 4-5 years I guess, it does suffer white out problems as you describe, a shame as otherwise a good scope that holds zero well. Salop Matt
I have a MTC Mamba and have had no issues at all with it........How ever I have moved to Hawke Sopes now but havent sold the MTC Mamba just in case ! Hawke wise Ive got a Sidewinder with SR Pro reticule and a Panorama Half Mildot, I havent suffed whit out issues with the MTC or the Hawke but the Hawke IR seems a little better for light control especally the sidewinder. reggiegun
Overpriced What scope would you put on a rimfire for bunny bashing using subs?
bicykillgaz
What scope would you put on a rimfire for bunny bashing using subs? A half decent 6x42 is all you really need, anything else is just down to preference.
reggiegun
Daylight, dusk or lamping? dusk/lamping.
telf
i have a genesis on one of my .22s with the AMD ret and personally think its one of the best reticles out there for a 22 with the holdover marks, but clear above
Paddy Galore!
not my cuppa tea, i think they're pants, don't get me wrong, i don't spend fortunes and i still have a budget scope on my 22lr semi but i've had better performance and reliability from a cheapo hawke at a quarter of the price of a MTC,
tharsus
Worst scope I have ever owned the mamba, PA bore no relation to distance, white out was terrible and build quality is ****, also weighed about a stone, for the same kind of money look at Burris, Nikon, Vortex anything really. kyska
I've heard they are good bits of kit, but I'd rather take my eyes out with a spoon than line the pockets of the co-owner. Spite your face? Yes.

cleaner4hire
I bought an AGS swat and its the best 'cheap' scope I've owned by miles. Nothing other than quality euro stuff is as good
mick miller
I have a Genesis on my fac air, 17hmr and 243. Personally, I'm not keen on the others in the range finding them a bit fussy. The Genesis range is good though, is it comparable to a German optic? No. But is it comparable to other mid range scopes? Yes, and in some ways better. Firstly, its great with digi add-ons. Secondly, the reticule is fine and the mildots well thought out. Thirdly, the build quality is pretty high on these, they use another manufacturer for the Genesis as compared to the rest of the range. ging125
I had a mamba lite, had it on the 223 but couldnt get on with it at all! Changed it to a duralyt and havent look back since! The mamba had white out issues too and was just ok in low light, better for lamping actually! It did get quite dull at x16 mag even on a bright day. As fister has said, bushnell scopes are value for money! I have one on my cz 452 22lr and ruger 10/22! Rugged scopes too as they both hold zero with all the battering they have had! malkiserow
Worst scope I have ever owned the mamba, PA bore no relation to distance, white out was terrible and build quality is ****, also weighed about a stone, for the same kind of money look at Burris, Nikon, Vortex anything really. These are often adjustable to get the scale bob-on.... I have an MTC as it came on a rifle I bought. The white out is a bit of an issue however the glass is VERY good on mine. soulboy1957
Had a mamba ir tried to get it replaced under warranty for about three months(ir failed),after being spun lots of stories I gave up. As per a previous I would rather suffer a freak yachting accident than buy anything from MTC again.
