Have we lost our human decency?

I was rushing from one meeting to the next (35miles apart and I was already late), when I drove past an old girl who was clearly struggling, she's walking along, then suddenly hanging into the wall and swaying all over. I slow down to look bloke behind me does too, I then stop about 100 yards further on to stop and help, the **** behind me then slams the horn on his 53 plate rover 75 for a good 30 seconds as he had to wait to pass me. (He could see id stopped for her) Good job I stopped because the old girl was about to hit the floor by the time I got to her. Couldn't believe how many people slowed to have a nose but didn't bother to help.

Let's hope they don't need help in the future .

Ambulance was on scene in 3 mins, not sure how it turned out, but I'm glad I did my bit.

Most are good, unfortunately a few are just scum.

I saw an old chap fall and smashed his head as he hit the pavement,i stopped the truck and rushed across the road,he was out cold for a while with a nasty cut on his temple,i helped him out along with a woman who was walking by,the ambulance and police came and while we were all there someone was leaning on their horn because my vehicle was causing a bit of a jam,all the other cars could see what was happening but this **** had a horn for christmas. The WPC said leave this to me and strolled over to have a chat, she signalled him over in his car and kept him there for a good 20 minutes chatting doing checks etc.

There are just some idiots out there who expect the world to revolve around them.

Well done for stopping and helping out.

Like that story Welsh, proves there is a god :lol:

I was watching a traffic cop documentary last night and a chap tooted at a parked car parked perfectly legally. It was an unmarked car. The copper didn't nick him but kept him for about 20 mins...

Good for you the only problem with when you see someone like that the first thing that goes through my mind is have they been drinking in that case I have little sympathy for them being a non drinker as for the guy blowing his horn that is one thing that unlike other countries we tend not to use our horns that much I cannot remember the last time I used my horn other than when I see someone that I now and just give them a short toot and a wave.

Did you know it is an offence to toot your horn if your vehicle is stationary

Well done to the OP for stopping and doing his bit :good:

Probably technically correct however I've had to a couple of times when the carvan/in front starts reverseing without even looking behind them

Some, and together with intolerance, impatience and lack of courtesy, the proportion of those who have and those who have not is changing for the worse. Mind you, some, but not all may be due to a function of age on my part - a right Victor Meldrew in the making! But it is kind of difficult to accept that what today is becoming the norm, 50 years or more ago would have been considered well out of order.

Well done PB.

Well done sire, i salute you.

I wonder whether the rover 75 driver could see what you were up to. Its a fact that you have to be 75 before you drive one.

I have to agree.

Rover 75 = miserable old boy. This should be recognised as a statement of fact.

Rover 25 (not the sporty one) = foreign

Rover 25 (the sporty one) = chav

You could have been accused of touching her up etc. Best leave folk to the police, ambulance folk. Just not worth the hassle these days
