what a breath of fresh air his prog Nigel Farage "who are you " was last nite

evidently the film maker thought he would reveal the man behind the mask but concluded what you see is indeed what you get, straight talking no nonsense sticking up for the UK..... a times writer who has commentated on him for 20 years says he is not racists as others try to paint him and just voices in the open what all the others mutter behind closed doors.....

gonna get my vote!

Excellent programme... He comes across as a guy who is batting for Britain and the British, as opposed to the rest of the politicians who come across as batting for themselves....

Time will tell, I just wish the rest of his group were a bit more visible..He's getting my vote anyway, It may be a wasted vote, but the rest of the politicians and their parties, need a good kick up the ****, and I think Nigel Farage is the man to do it.........As you say a Breath of Fresh Air.

The EC elections are proportional representation so it is not a wasted vote.

I was one of the first members of UKIP. It has taken a long time to get where we are today.

As a fellow member I've been wishing for some time that the party could present a positive case for leaving the EU rather than concentrating on the negatives of remain a member. We do not face an economic nuclear winter if we leave; quite the reverse. There is a huge amount to be optimistic about. Therefore I was very pleased to receive a copy of William Dartmouth's excellent report "Out of the EU, into the World."

I assume its only been sent to Ukip members and supporters for cost purposes which is a pity. It is precisely the kind of detailed response that is needed to the scaremongering misinformation put out by the Europhile parties.

I'll have a look.

This is 10 years old, it's been the best rational analysis of the situation I've been able to find and makes the same point about trade.

I know I keep banging on about it but _MEXICO_ has the same trade rights with the EU as we do.

Nigel's a decent-sounding, plausible chap. However, that does not make UKIP a political party.

His old mucker, Godfrey Bloom, a former Ukip MEP who was kicked out of the party said Mr Farage was a very good “salesman” but that he should not be party leader. Of course, Godfrey would say that, bearing in mind Nigel kicked him out of the party, but the "salesman" bit rings true.

he is doing an ever increasing excellent job of converting floating votes and euro sceptics from other parties looking for someone to better represent them. You will see the Tories trying to adopt a lot of his ideas and to present them in what they perceive a more palatable format for middle England. What they don't get is many want exactly what UKIP offer because the Brown scandal exposed that at the very top of British politics they snipe and bitch about "ordinary folk" behind closed doors because we are not smart enough to understand the big picture.

Labour and the Libs will continue to push their own message and I cant see them being smart enough to make much change to their tired and trusted method base of Labour supports the working man and Liberals support the moderate left beard growing slipper wearing tree hugging accordion players who believe a jolly nice song and a cupper can cure all ailments.....

I am not normally excited by Politics by Farage is stirring my blood and will be watching tonight's debate with Nick "the liar" Clegg with increasing interest and I hope Farage can best tricky Nicky who is by all accounts quite a good speaker for a man with a forked tongue!

you know what his courage to say what we all know has secured my vote. whatever the others say means nothing as they only say it to get your vote then forget you once its cast. Free university places, free vote on the hunting act (sorry there wasn't time for that) There sure was time to bring up gay marriage though wasn't there and were was that idea in the manifesto?. I have voted Tory from 18 yrs hate labour and socialism in general but lets face it when I vote I want what I was promised and non of the other three parties have given that for years now. Is it the fact that they cannot without getting it the nod from Europe first? or are they just conmen? Frankly my dears I don't give a dam. Whatever road we take out of here its going to be a hard one as a failing Europe and loosening of regulation under Labour that lead in turn to corrupt banking practices has ruined us along with the usual give away deals to the voters (who are now among the hardest hit by the essential cuts) but I seriously don't want my kids leaving school to find things even harder than when I left 30 years ago so it time to act. Even then they will inherit our nations debt for many years to come- I doubt it could be any worse

I don't trust Cameron he will get more Euro sceptic just to save his own skin then transcend all his promises he makes like he is already doing. Labour will try bribery to the voter and lead us further into debt and Liberals? well the debate is only happening coz they no full well they have nothing to loose and a tiny chance of a small gain if they can trip him up(which is looking hard at present even with the Biased non representitive papers and TV trying to help)

Oh My God what a bunch of blinkered sycophants...The blokes a total slime bag like the rest of his party. He's so slimy he would probably make a very good politician in another party. In life if you want to get to the top, surround yourself with the best, not the dross.

"Hi Nige...got a political broadcast later...remind me... what's our manifesto today ? Speak later... love u...Paul "

Politics and Religion should be banned from the site.

you can always decide not to take part in a thread  rather than shout ban it, or does that not suit your ever so one sided agenda, stick to fishing mate.and keep voting for your trough guzzling elite.

Ah, you cannot beat a good democracy.......

Calling someone a slimebag is so descriptive - it tells you nothing. Sounds just like playground politics.

It actually tells you everything, in that it really really shows that both the fluffy to the lefts and the cretinous cons are getting oh so worried about the new kid on the block, you know the one that brings something strange to the political spectrum, IE the want to represent the mainstream man in the street, rather than pander to the loud "ever so diverse" minorities that thanks to both apathy and our unwarranted loyalty to the political colour of our region allowed the swamping of parliament with people who only want to represent themselves rather than the interests of those who put them there.Hopefully Mr farrage will put a stop to that.

Such bigoted response is no less than I expect from you and illustrates perfectly the type of voter attracted by the BNP oops sorry I meant UKIP. How can you possibly say I have a one sided agenda when you and your cronies constantly post up sycophantic luvy-duvy topics about super Nige as if he's the next best thing since sliced bread and immediately castigate and vilify anyone who doesn't agree with them or the content ?

You don't know me or my politics but obviously in your insecurity view me subliminally as some sort of threat to your intelligence and are now seeking fellow posters to agree with you and reinforce your opinion.

I suggest you keep your opinion to yourself.

by comparing UKIP to BNP and labeling me as a bigot (you need to look at the definition of that one ) you show yourself up for what you are, very very childish and petulant remark worthy of the contempt I give you for it.
