docholiday
Went out for a pricket last night and caught up with a few of our big boys, always a magnificent sight, they were all in the corner of a meadow the stags and bucks pretty chilled with each other, (it won't last ) and good that they haven't been shot by anybody yet, They seem to stay with us and we keep them as A1 breeding stock, Thankfully no trophy shooting on our land so we can weed out the cull bucks and keep some big boys for breeding,Seems to be working well, they seem to be around all of the time especially the big Sikka who has been with us for three years now, Hopefully they don't wander as they would make someone a lot of money There is one buck in amongst them with an injured leg, we have tried to cull him for the last few weeks but just can't get need him Taken with a 200mm lens so they are big crops and not great quality but thought you might like to see them, know i could watch them for ages. scolopax
Very good pictures and excellent quality animals. Nice to read that you have no intention of shooting the big boys.

henry d
Nice pictures, we don`t have many fallow here, but one thing I have been noticing is that roe tend to vacate a field that reds are moving in.

norfolk dumpling
Driving from Norwich towards Nth Walsham recently saw 3 big red stags along side a wood near Sloley. Fantastic sight - nearly to rear ended as I hit the brakes to get a better look.
camokid
stunning doc....!! i think the fever would really kick in if any one of them crackers came out in front of me... the fallow is very impressive .. hope you realise how lucky you are to be around such deer
henry d
The fallow definitely kick the Roe out around here, I have seen them chasing them Last night there were four young stags racing about the field I was in sometimes eating and then one would charge another, the roe just wandered past them not even interested. Funny thing nature!

I haven't seen any conflict as you mention but not saying for one minute it don't happen, Great pictures BTW, something I have always meant to get into Edited August 22, 2014 by kent
