while we were away we got on really well with a Scottish family and after I set up a lilo wall to talk over so we could see what it would be like lol, we debated the pro's and con's and in the end decided its better we stay as 1, im neither bothered or worried if they decide to go alone its up to them, I think that if they do fly solo then it may be hard for them with all the price rises money lending etc but ill be honest im fed up with the news and politics, not just this debate everything. I turn the news on or read a paper, I see doom and gloom its either this plane went missing this area is fighting this area the scotts want out, the only good news I read while away was aston villa did Liverpool 1 nil,

other than that I wasted money on feeling depressed,

good luck to Scotland on which ever way they decide to go.

They know which way the money and the subsidies run alright....

I despair at the last 2 weeks dog and pony show and whatever it has been that the politicians South of the border have promised and which we'll now have to pay for.

An expensive game of poker which I reckon we lost. The answer should have been 'good luck and don't let the door hit you on the way out' not 'please please please you can have.....'

Politicians, don't you just love them.

No they should answer for this, big time. This country is on it's knees and they will have gave a big bag of sweeties away that we are going to get shafted for.

I want a vote on it.

Up to now it looks like they know which side the bread is buttered on. Think it will be around a 60/40 split in favour of no.

The choice was, independent Scotland with all the costs on the Scots or virtually the same thing with the English paying all the bills, as normal. Wonder why they voted no?

At least we don't have to change the Union Jack. Other than that, it's been another expensive night for England.

Forget the political side as im way out of my depth .

But i for one am glad that the result is what it is . It all felt like one of those silly augments that you have with your oldest and best mates .

to the proud people of Scotland . I hope Westminster gives you what they have promised .

The banter has bee great from most.

Don't think anything will change on here. Where we live has never had a bearing on helping each other and having a laugh.

I just hope that now Scotland can get on with being part of UK and stop moaning about how all the problems are caused by the English.

Oh well!

Do we now have to endure months and years of bleating from the "yes" voters?

How much has this cost us all?

I note Glasgow is already moaning "they didn't vote for it"

By the way Cammoron has just said he's a "Democrat" and he listens! Well listen up buddy there's a few miffed English, Welsh and Northern Irish out here!

ah well gutted but heres hoping Scotland can move forward as one. Understand that English will be well annoyed WHEN/IF Westminster follow through with their promises.........

Enjoyed the banter on here and hope we can move on with the usual cross border advice/sales/tips and stories!

No, I don't think so.

This latest round of graceless bleating by Salmon and his henchmen is the final straw for many Englishmen. That1.5M malcontents can cause such an extreme example of the tail wagging the dog is a disgrace, as there are bigger issues facing the UK than this sideshow - Europe and Rotherham are more important to a vast majority than whether the Krankies want a different cover on their passport.

The PM has just announced English MPs will vote on English matters and I foresee a rebalancing whereby we no longer have to put up with chippy Scots down South, whether that be in government, the press, professions, etc.

Sow the wind...
