marsh man
We used to have a couple of women come to our clubs meetings but they mainly helped out with the raffle etc , and up until now I have never seen a female out fowling by herself . I have seen the odd one out with there boyfriend or husband ,but like a lot of people who come into our sport the novelty soon wear off and they find its not to there liking. Also have we got many fowlers from other countries , as I have never seen a Black person out on the marsh neither ( no jokes or pun intended ) and I am sure we would be interested in how our wildfowling ways compare with how they do it in there country. So if you know of any, or are one yourself let us know . I have seen quite a few Game shooting and the odd one pigeon shooting but like I say I have never yet seen one by there selves on the marsh or foreshore. Blackpowder
I do see female Guns on formal driven shoots but have yet to encounter any wildfowling or pigeon shooting. Likewise with salmon angling, plenty ladies on ghillied beats but have only met one female fisher on association waters and yet to meet a lady trout angler on a river although see quite a few on stillwaters and had a fair sprinkling on board when I ran a sea angling charter boat. Shot with this Lady out on the Marsh and The Washes on numerous occasions. Shame she has given up.

Aled
Can't comment on wildfowling i'm afraid but on our angling association we have three female anglers. Also the vice chair is half West Indian, and a great pal and good angler, tried to get him into shooting on more than one occasion, but he has resited. nic
my OH shoots both rifle and shotgun and has been out rough shooting with me and sat next to me wildfowling. she isn't certain that she wants to commit to joining a club as doesn't think she would get out enough to warrant it. it also means that having one gun dog, she would be stealing MY dog if she went :-) also it would be embarassing, she is a better shot than me on targets and it only nerves on game that stops her beating me there as well...........
