Darno
Pretty shocked by the mob stuff tho. That didn't seem staged to me.
kxkirk
Well I enjoyed it, I know 99% is staged but most shows are now and it's still has me in stitches
ordnance
I watched both episodes fully and it's rubbish, staged What top gear specials staged, I am shocked.
Scully
Wasn't as good as some others I've seen, but still worth watching, I thought. Much of it is of course staged, but Mays fall from the horse certainly wasn't. Thought the 'beaver' hats were hilarious.

Pie
It's a comic for the TV brain out watchable. Never realised they had 31 in the crew
four-wheel-drive
I saw part of the first one and gave up just plain stupid I now that it is mostly staged but when they drove in to a bog pretending it was a road/track its not even funny in a slapstick way and what is funny in them going to the place that the belgono came from if I was related to one of the people who we killed for no good reason on that boat I would have lead a lintch mob to hang them all. Twistedsanity
My wife's cousin is a specialist expedition doctor who travells with all of the top gear specials, there was no staging where the mob were concerned and they were all really terrified and running in fear of their lives, she got smacked in the face by a rock that broke a window in the vehicle they were travelling in. Clarkson and all the producers with money were air lifted out immediately and left the minions to deal with the aftermath. She also mentioned that the angry mob consisted of mostly teenagers who weren't even born when the Falklands conflict happened so if there was any staging done it was by some angry bitter old argies who riled the youngsters up as some sort of bent out of shape revenge tactic. On a more pleasing note the episode where they did the poles in a Toyota pickup and the special forces guy was seen to shove Clarkson into a hole in the ice when he wasn't listening wasn't scripted at all :-)
TIGHTCHOKE
Watched them both, enjoyed parts especially the scenery, overall, not as good as previous efforts!

grrclark
Watched off of iplayer tonight, i can normally suspend belief to watch TG but i confess that I thought this was complete and utter tosh. Excepting the angry natives it was just an episode of slapstick nonsense, a very scarce amount of genuine laughs for me i'm afraid.
bullet1747
Disgracefull If we had done that to them over here or the poles wot would happen
four-wheel-drive
killed for no good reason. priceless Well if you happen to be white you probably think that it was a good reason its a pity that we did not show the same respect to the 2 thousand brown people that we evicted from the Island home that they lived on so that we could give it to Americans have a look but they do not matter as they are not white. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diego_Garcia Oh and just for the records we also killed there dogs they had to leave them behind and we gassed them all 2000 of them as the Americans did not want them running around scrounging food what nice people we British are. digger
What ? where the crew of the Belgrano from there ? What has colour got to do with it? different island different ocean related to the Falklands how? The Belgrano was sunk during a war. odd
kennett
Read up on this since the top gear special, and interestingly the argie navy, and most of its top brass agree that the attack and subsequent sinking were a legitimate act of war, and that leaving the exclusion zone didn't mean they had entered a safe haven. They had orders to meet up with other war ships and attack any British vessel, therefore making it a legitimate target

digger
I genuinely can't. can you explain the connection between an act of war and an island in a different ocean ? I don't see how it relates to the UK defending it's territory from invasion. am I alone ?
