scotslad
Alright folks Bit of a strange 1. Wot do u think the cheapest way to line a shower cubicle would be? It does not have to look smart or anything just be functional and minima maintaence. I'm going to e moving intoa static caravan for a bit, while i do a building project and i'm plumbing a shower into the outbuilding next to the caravan so i can have a normal toilet/shower. Hopefully life won't be so bad living in a caravan. So just a 'site' shower really and eventually in time probably leave it as a spare. Was originally thinking of just sheets of perspex screwed at top and glued overhanging into shower tray, but its not that cheap, also thought about PVC sheets althou can only find tounge and groove facia board (like for dorma's) I can tile but was wanting something more maintence free and hate grouting, (if my sums are right cheapest tiles i could find were 100x100 tiles X25, (0.25sq m a box) for £6.49 does that make £26m sq), even mermaid board is not an awful lot dearer than that. Is there anything else anyone can think off?? Even thought about corragated tin sheets but that's just too ruff even for me Probably thinlkng of using the tounge and groove PVC facia board the now and running them vertically, but open to suggestions or if that idea has any flaws? Worried about fixing them, will gllue hold them or should i screw with waterproof fittings or even tech screws/roofing bolts Cheers Edited June 24, 2015 by scotslad

scotslad
Wits wrong wi the river man!!! toughen up! ;-) My neighbours dinae desrve that, thankfully not nearer the coast or i'd even greenpeace out for the 'beached whale' Believe me it has been done, only got the water running again a few months back, last summer i was washing in the wee burn which was quite nice but then it dried up. How often does that happen in Scotland. Amazing how u appreciate small things like washing ur face after a hot sweaty day, even in a burn

scotslad
Cheers folks. Can u get UPVC roof cladding in big sheets? The place i went for it only had 4" or 6" tounge and groove, obviously i would prefer a sheet as no joints. Planning to frame it out so some sort of 'cladding' on 3 sides and hang cladding over the shower tray rather than finishing it fush the normal way, hopefully water will run down better. Guss the damaged aqua/mermaid board is a goood idea, do u know if there is any companies that specialise in that, esp damaged ones? Some sort of 2nd factory outlet etc? Otherwise i'll just ask round the local timber /bathroom merchants

guss109
Try your local builders yard or depending where you are in Scotland you could try nu-style based in Aberdeen as they make they under the name of performa panel
rodp
Foamex from any sign makers supply. 8 x4 or 10 x 5. Relatively cheap, various colours and thickness's. Stick it on the wall with acrylic adhesive sealant.
gav05
Aqua panal or wet wall kit 2.4 meter heigh x 1.2 meter wide and all seal kit costs about £150 plus that horrible word vat. Seconds or damaged is a good shout if you had of been a week earlier I could of given you 10 Pannals free but they have all been skipped or taken. Always the way.....
