More than likely they had some gold rems and some brown (federals?) in excess stock so used them. There is no difference in the bullets aside from color. SPARKIE Posted July 5, 2015 Report Share Posted July 5, 2015 (edited) if theres no difference in the 3 makes and there all made at the same factory....why the difference in price and accuracy on my rifle. it loves remmys hates hornady federal and cci were middle of the road. they must have different powders/ charges all the split cases brfore firing tend to be federal. hornady have hang fires. not heard any issues with rem....nor have i had any issues with them.
