a303
Why advertise that you may have a gun in your car with a private plate or "browning" etc stickers on your rear window etc. Seen some motors that are asking to be done over with the advertisements on em. On a lighter note. Did see ELEY 1 (think it was 1) at the midland game fair attached to a Bentley in the car park 2 years ago.

Mungler
I bid on 208ORE on the DVLA web auction about 5 years ago as a bit of fun. I would guess that whoever has 128ORE went for the pair.
Chris B123
128ORE appears to be on a green Range Rover. 128 not a B though, Mungler, what sort of money did they go for?
Mungler
I think it was just under £2k but with VAT and fees the end bill was north of £2.5k and that's my limit for a bit of fun and nonsense. The prices should be on line - the DVLA publish the prices of all plates sold at auction / on line auction. There's cheap money flying about in the economy at the moment - you can see it in the prices of number plates, posh watches and flash cars - they've all gone up
Chris B123
That's not as much as I expected, when you see what some people are paying for some obscure number that you have too squint, with one eye closed, and upside down, to make out what they are trying too say. Still a bit too much for me though.
Mungler
Previous results here : http://dvlaregistrations.direct.gov.uk/search/previous-auction-plates.html?plate=128&searched=true&x=0&y=
Hamster
128 not a B though, Mungler, what sort of money did they go for? Correct but in the PP game close enough is good enough so long as you're not expecting people to solve a riddle. Years ago I saw 1 0MAR on a Rolls Royce, OK it's a zero but it's worth a fortune.
