Salopian
I was told that Ludlow was cordoned off last Saturday night whilst West Mercia Armed Response attended a call out. The reason? A man was reported taking a rifle into a block of Flats. It turns out that a resident of the Flats had bought a new gunslip !! How much did that little lot cost??? saddler
They tend to range from about £12 to approaching £200 or so.... I'm here all week folks, try the chicken!
kaunda
Surprised they didn't have a chopper up.
Danger-Mouse
Blame the idiot who reported it, not the police. On several occasions I`ve had police cars drive by when I`m getting guns out of the car. Never once have they stopped and questioned me. buze
Bored police, they have a nice facebook page to receive tip offs, so after a long day of waiting for gun crime that didn't happen, lets just take the kit out as a bit of 'tactical' practice and see that guy who's clearly on the file as a legitimate gun owner, but what the heck, these are a LOT easier to track the address of than the crims who have the temerity of not registering anything. The Police have to respond to a call. The day they do not respond, it will be "where were the Police when you need them". They cannot do right for doing wrong. Yeah that's generally what armed police do, look up ticket holders and harass them.

What if the slip was for an airgun? Or is that all in the "file". They don't have a choice but to attend and as said earlier if they didn't and someone was shot they would be blamed for not attending. The police have a bloody awful job, they have to sort the good guys from the bad , so any help they can get is valued and not to be ignored. Scully
The only thing that narks me about this incident is that it will be reported as a firearms incident; just one of many none events that will be used in statistics if and when needed.
