Hi all anybody on here got one ? We had the salesperson around Thursday afternoon the best price I could get him down to was £1395 but this was on a ex demo machine that he said had only been used 10 times, what's the best price you guys and gals have managed to get one for also do you think they are well worth the money after all it's just a Hoover, I was impressed with the results though, I've got to call him back tomorrow and let him know my decision so your input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dave

The salesman is operating the buyer.

High pressure and well versed sales technique and known for it.

This.

We made the mistake of letting one of their salesmen in a few years back - he managed to **** me off in the first five minutes, and it took me an hour, and in the end being particularly blunt ("Ok, this sales call is now over, thank you for coming") to get the yappy sod out of the house.

Don't touch with a barge pole.

Friend of mine used to work for them,

Every morning they have to sing the company song.....I kid you not

:shaun:

Yup, my ex worked for them for a week before I told her I wasn't letting her debase herself like that.

Go for a Dyson, they are better anyway and British rather than American

We have one and yes they are a good vacuum cleaner. We bought ours used from a woman who bought from her son when he worked for them.

Have had vax three dysons a Hoover pet, two Henry's God knows what others and my wife has killed them all. She currently has a Henry a G Tech air ram and the Kirby Sentria 2 all good so far.

The Oryk XL pro was a Hoover a pro on here recommended along with Sebo.

If you want a Kirby buy a used one.

We've got a g tech and it's pretty good. It can be quite harsh on your carpet as it did pull a thread up but other than that it's light and manoevreable, good pick up as it rips up your carpet :-) and the little bundles it makes of dust and carp it picks up is impressive. Got the hand held one aswell and that's pretty good.
