Seadog1408
Last week I emailed a seller on guntrader asking a question about transfer costs on a gun he was selling with no reply, fast forward to yesterday where I emailed another seller with a question, no reply, so tried texting on the number given with again no reply, can't be bothered anymore! welshwarrior
If you text me I'll never see it as it goes to a computer that forwards the call to one of our mobile so we can answer when not in the workshop. Lots of emails from guntrader are also going into junk mail not inbox for the last month since an update on the trade side. Annoying for you costly for us!! E.w.
That's pointless and waste of one time, very disrespectful not to reply, I would also be somewhat disappointed.

ChrisPCarter
I've had replies from two or three trade sellers I've emailed on there but one took nearly a week and I'd already bought another gun by then. I find a lot of gun shops are too busy to answer the phone and leave it ringing and ringing so I'm actually quite surprised they manage to use email at all. webber
Most of the guns sales that I make are generated via Guntrader; I also use their electronic register. When I book a gun in it automatically lists the gun on the website, obviously pictures need to follow. Quite often a gun sells before I get around to taking the pictures. When I sell a gun the system automatically removes the gun from the website and produces all the paperwork and notifies Police. I will admit to ignoring the odd email from GT but they are usually of a stupid nature or making unsolicited offers for guns which I don't consider genuine; obviously I can't speak for other members of the trade. webber www.norgascartridges.co.uk
Tadorna
Also happens on PW when sellers do not answer messages.
holloway
I have had good and bad on Guntrader nice genuine private sellers and efficient trade sellers also the indifferent ones where if i have to work hard to give someone my money i tend to lose interest. My worst experience came on Pigeon watch were i contacted a trade seller offering the full purchase price of a gun plus whatever he charged for rfd ,was puzzled by his lack of urgency to deal with me until he admitted that he was looking after the interest of someone else who was making up there mind if they wanted the gun , this took the best part of a week .! that was it for me cant deal with people like that . webber
I've just opened my email. I've tried to respond to an enquiry for a flint lock pistol that I have for sale. Telephone number not viable. Email pinged back. webber
Retsdon
Just curious. Once guns have been sold, do they get removed from Guntrader, or do some traders just leave them up as 'call guns' to decoy in potential punters? Because I've seen guns stay up there for literally years and you'd think that if they weren't getting sold the price would be dropped just to free up the money... welshwarrior
Once it's sold using guntraders software it's removed in theory but doesn't happen instantly.
old man
Had an excellent recent contact and purchase via GT from Eastern Sporting Ltd in Essex. All descriptions and communications absolutely spot on. Gun removed from sales list at the end of purchase day. What's not to like! triumphant59
Like most people I browse Guntrader when the dealers are closed and I'm working when they are open so sending an email is easiest option. I've emailed enquiring about 2 different 28 bores recently and not received any responce. When I have found time to phone both have claimed they have not received my email and that the guns have sold. Conclusion is that Guntrader aren't forwarding the emails to the dealers or dealers can't be bothered to reply either way very frustrating !
