Dennis Skinner's Queen's Speech gag

An unpleasant typically Socialist opinion it is too.

Very true as the subsequent comment bears out. I am no particular fan of the Royals, but some of their critics have surely attended the Diane Abbott School of Mathematics.

All rhetoric, with nothing behind it.

Maybe old Liz and big ears bring in the cash but what about protection for Andrew fergie and all there brood , Edward the marines hero and his wife ? . no doubt the land brings in money but the land belongs to the tax payer anyway , Then what about the repairs to buckingham palace a huge expensive just for the queen to live in . Then would Charlies be a organic farmer on 700 acres if the farm was not handed to him i think not

Dennis Skinner is a loud mouthed nobody.

This. He is obstructive and represents appalling value for money. He famously declared he had never sent an email a few years back, so how exactly does he deal with his constituency business in the 21st Century?

"Oh, that's good old Dennis" they probably say at Westminster, but I have got no time for curmudgeonly career politicians, particularly ones clinging on in the Commons far beyond their usefulness.

That's what the House of Lords is for. If he is so keen to give the country the benefit of his wisdom, he should take a seat in the Lords, and pursue his political 'career' at his own expense.

Appalling wastrel.

We appear to have had an influx of socialists/republicans/marxists into the PW fold recently. Who vets them! Or have they just come out from under their stone since Corbyn's 'resurgence'.

well as unpleasant as this may seem its whats called democracy and they have every much right to their opinions as you or I do.

Get your facts straight.............if you can! Buckingham Palace belongs to the State! As for protection, most of our senior politicians get it.................which really is a pity! Charles' farm was bought and paid for by his own income....you might not like them, but would you prefer a President Corbyn in charge?

Probably one of the quickest thread derails I've seen good work.

I actually think she's quite remarkable, in her nineties and still doing her job (which she never asked for).

I'd have said **** this **** decades ago if I were her.

others in their 90s are usually burnt out from working hard during their younger years :whistling:

This thread started out about the lout Dennis Skinner then veered off onto class hatred and the Royal family.

In an idle moment, should I ever want to compile a list of PW members I would never wish to meet, then threads such as this would be fertile territory for some names.
