No tools or anything else taken, just copper. Now I wonder who would accept a load of brand new unused copper piping without being remotely suspicious? 🤔 The same happened to their other store in a nearby town last week apparently. Local opinion ( based on experience ) is that it will have been stolen by our travelling friends ( having cased the place last June ) for scrap and sold to a travelling friend scrap dealer. Honey Monster Posted August 25, 2017 Report Share Posted August 25, 2017 All of it will go for scrap. I visit scrapyard almost every week and see a lot of pipes , mostly in untouched 10 pipe packs. Definitely it comes from dark source. From semptember last year scrapyards don't pay cash but checks and require ID but apparently this is not a problem. bostonmick Posted August 25, 2017 Report Share Posted August 25, 2017 (edited) Scrap yards got around the not paying cash by setting aside a part of their office as a cheque cashing business.they give out a cheque for the scrap then the scroats go to the next window to cash the cheque.they get stopped a small percentage for the privilege.so you see dealers are encouraging the theft of metals. Â the law/policing of this country are failing, together with the nhs, our road/motorway network, government and so on. humanity has peaked and we are now on the way back down!
