Crypto currencies are the future and I don't think Bitcoin has even slightly topped yet, the potential is huge! I've got around 1500 invested and if I'd have invested the same as I invested in silver and gold this time last year I'd be sat on half a million. Defo worth looking into if you haven't already as this new currency is here to stay. Take yourself back when the idea of paper money came out, or the internet. People dismissed the idea and didn't want to change habit. Cryptos are here to stay.

HI zd

one of the main reasons for the significant price increase in ripple coin is because American express have started using the ripple net blockchain interledger last month as a payment gateway. Also another 100 worldwide banks have signed contract with ripple and are starting to use the ledger. The ripple xrp coin is not yet being used by the banks but the ledger is.

One way to explain better:

The ripple net interledger is an blockchain ledger that currently allows movement of currency, gbp, dollars etc from bank to bank at a saving of approx 40% of the current traditional payment costs and this is what the above banks are using. The xrp ripple coin ledger runs on top of the interledger and gives even further costs savings within the transaction and other benefits such as speed and security. I liken it to the ripple net blockchain ledger is the new uncongested road and currently you have got G4S security diesel vehicle transporting your cash, a little faster, efficient and cheaper, this is where the banks are now who have adopted it. It is highly likely that banks will adopt the use of ripple xrp coin as it gives even more significant security, costs and speed benefits and this is the fundamental part of the road map for ripple global payments role out. xrp coin running on the interledger is then like removing the G4S truck ad replacing it with a Tesla vehicle and beefing up security. It is still in its development beta stage and ironing out niggles and making improvements.

I bought into ripple xrp coin very early on as i could see the possibilities of it, my strategy with all my coins and my mining rig, was that I took out my intial costs once they had made gains and sold into gbp, many people will be like myself who have bought in are holding for long term gains. As always, yer pays yer money and yer takes yer chance and never ever, ever put in what you cannot afford to forget about. They go up they go down where they stop no one knows. May i wish you all the best with your endeavours, it has been a wild, wild year!

My man 7 Days had some good advice for ripple and I bought in at 19 cents made a killing. My other cryptos are suffering today but they will go back up! I've made 3 grand so far on a 1000 investment in 3 weeks. It's an amazing market if you have the heart for it!

Surely all these cryptocurrencies are just pyramid schemes. As the attached article seems to hint

I've been following the FT articles on this and they've been saying this from the start. Basically they haven't a clue behind the markets and future of this tech and are just guessing day to day. When large banks and credit companies are jumping on the train then it's a big thing. Today apparently Goldman Sachs are now in the crypto market.

Some weeks ago my grandson asked me my views on Ripple, I said how much can you afford to lose, to which he replied 100 euros. I told him to go ahead, his initial investment a few days ago was 700 euros. My father once told me if you dont speculate, you dont accumulate.

Very similar to myself.

I followed this thread from the beginning and typical me was hesitant about investing money when xrp was $0.18.

Well yesterday I threw caution to the wind and dropped £750, via coinbase then converted to xrp in gatehub.

Had a rather worrying moment with a huge hours and hours long delay for it to appear in wallet in gatehub.

I guess it's same for everyone but the fees with buying and exchanging seem really high, I'll probably look at investing about a grand in xrp then start picking out what colour Aston I'll buy.

More than likely it'll only buy me a happy meal though in years to come haha!!

For those of you who hold xrp here are some links which may give you some more information. The thread titled prediction I would not usually post up as I do not intend to predict or promote what the price will do. As always it will do two things, it may go up and it may go down. I put it up because it contains some information which may be helpful in understanding what ripple and xrp are attempting to achieve with this technology.

Well yesterday my grandsons 100 euros stake in ripple had well past the 1000 euros. That is some serious return.

Well, it's only a return when it is realised into spendable cash - let's hope it stays high until he realises it.

He is no mug amateur, I spoke to him a few minutes ago, he has sold 25 % which has returned his stake plus a bit of beer money. The other 75% is staying put for the time being. I wish him well.
