Big Mat
I shall have a wander out with the dog, no where too far, watch the sun rise and listen to the sounds. Might stay out for tide but I'm due back working by the afternoon so perhaps not
marsh man
GOOD LUCK to all those early risers who are out in the morning , with most of you who have got the day off and are in no hurry to get back home , please show restraint if you do get the opportunity to bag a few early duck and only take what you want , still a lot of flappers about that will be better quality in a few weeks time . Have a good , and above all a safe season .
Penelope
Inland for me tomorrow, Northants way, up at 1am as acting taxi for a couple of other guns. I hope to get out on the marsh for an evening flight next week after work. Edited August 31, 2018 by Penelope

Well just back from the morning flight, it was a bit misty at first but the sun came up and what a beautiful morning ... myself and my son had a teal each (1 drake and 1 hen) we saw a few more and heard some geese and so on .. overall very happy,, a great morning with great company (dad, mum, son and dog) and the dog retrieved with style.. pigeon breast and bacon on toast ... and a brew ... are in order :-)
